I disagree with you on one president, Truman. He did an amazingly good job for someone who was kept totally in the dark as VP. He will go down in history, IMHO, in the top 25% of presidents.

It had to have been a gut-wrenching decision. Sure, the # of lives in 2 nuclear bomb drops vs an island invasion of the Japanese homeland. Or, 100,000 lives vs 1,000,000 lives. Had to have been awful. But that's what a President does.
