The article is far more reaching that just what Ohio does or doesn't do.

If we thought hanging chads was bad, we may be in for the "perfect storm" according to this article.

Will learning the results of this election be like those in the northeast who are still waiting for the power to be turned back on? With all the resulting chaos that we see unfolding in the aftermath of this natural storm.

 

Ohio does not have to come into play. If Romney can win Florida, Colorado, Virginia, and Wisconsin he will win the election. Romney has a real chance of winning all of these states plus New Hampshire. But even without N.H. he would have 272 electoral votes.

Of these states, only Virginia could claim voting problems due to the storm.

OK, I see my mistake, I did not account for the split in Nebraska. Romney would still have 270.

 

Some of the military haven't even gotten their ballots yet, thank to Leon Panetta not doing his job (again).

Just a couple tidbits on Ohio, since I live here. I live in a conservative county just south of Columbus, and Romney signs outnumber Obama signs at least 10-1, probably more. I can definitely "feel" the voter intensity pro-Romney/anti-Obama, but admittedly, I run and live in conservative circles.

It all comes down to turnout. There may be a surge of pro-Romney voters in the rural and suburban areas that the polls are just missing. I think it is possible. That is my hope.

 

Four years ago the Rio Grande Valley was gaga over Obama. This year I have not seen the first yard sign for Obama but I have seen several for Romney. In talking with people, I don't sense a great deal of passion for the President as I did in the last election. I suppose He will still carry the Valley- I don't think the RGV has ever voted for a Republican presidential candidate- but I do think Romney will make a decent showing.

 

Yes, what is going on right now is that the Democrats are believing their own hype. They encouraged many of their voters to vote early, which they did. Now they proudly claim they are ahead in early voting. Very true, but it really doesn't mean a thing. Republicans have always tended to vote on election day. In most elections Republicans are more likely to turn out and vote.

So, the Democrats have already shot their wad, now it is time for the Republicans to vote, and they will come out in mass and overwhelm this early vote.

This whole early voting thing is just an attempt to encourage Democrats and demoralize Republicans. It won't work, Republicans are fired up this year, they will come out strong.
