…is that he wasn’t conservative enough. He largely left out important moral principles and avoided the inevitable challenges and issues these conflicts would have brought up to the forefront and which he should have been engaging in. He should have exposed the morally bankrupt agendas Obama has been pushing to the point it should be an embarrassment and hypocritical for Obama to even bring up the Name of God. He should have put Obama as well as all his supporters in his/their secular thinking seat for all to see. I don’t know why this was left out; maybe Romney feared his own religion would be brought into to such a discussion but I think the people are/were intelligent enough to know who their values more closely align with. Big mistake sweeping these issues under the rug, he should have lit that fire and let it burn. I was afraid early on that he was too moderate in his views and did not have enough contrast to oppose the liberals in this area. He gave up one of his biggest weapons when stepping up to this fight!

The old adage of "People who live in glass houses....," comes to mind.

Agreed. I would also add that Romney never really defined what his beliefs were. He should have had ads (or maybe he did, I don't know) where he looks directly in the camera and says, "I believe in this, this, and this. And also this, this, and this." Instead people really didn't know where he was on a lot of moral issues and bedrock issues. Obama's campaign did a good job of showing Romney as wishy-washy. Also the etch-a-sketch metaphor was damaging.

I may have stated the obvious but in hindsight it seems ever more so clear why this country has been given this leader...the focus of the people of this nation was on the economy - "money" - rather than the things of God. Maybe we banked on using a a moderate as to not offend and maybe many allowed themselves to be taken by the media who propped up a man such as Romney who would not stand strong on these issues. The hearts of the nation were in the wrong place and thereby forefitted His blessings. God let your people grow and become stronger from this mistake and continue to work ever so more diligently in turning the hearts and desires of themselves others toward You more boldly.

Romney ran a gentleman's race, like we used to have. I have seen the left get meaner and more viscious as the days go by. Romney is a gentleman from the old school. He is not a Rock Star, not the love of the left and does not give tingles up and down the legs of the media. Romney is a businessman. He has class. He has been a class act all the way, been Presidential all the way to his concession speech last night. He was too good for the job. He gave it his all. That's all that can be asked of anyone. I'm thankful that he gave some of America the chance to hope we could take our country back. But it is not to be. The America of the past is dead and gone. It is a blessing that the old heroes from WW2 have mostly died and gone on.

Romney was presidential material. The present holder of the office is not. But that is what America wants. They want the rock star, the big promises, the late night talk show guest way of governing, the surpassing of Congress to rule by Executive Order, the corruption, viciousness to win at any price, the Chicago thuggary, anything, but please give me more freebies - is the mindset. Let the rich pay my way is the mindset, redistribution of wealth. We got the socialist in chief that America wants, like it or not.

It doesn't do any good to beat up on Romney and boo-hoo about where the Republican Party went wrong. The truth is the demographics have changed. There is no moral compass, we could see that at the Democratic Convention, where they took God out and promoted abortion and homosexual rights. This is what the country has come to.

Look, even a couple of states voted to enjoy recreational marijuana.

Hold on, it's going to be a bumpy ride from now on out.

I just keep remembering Romans 8:28 and that is my security blanket.

People were eager to hear a message of liberty and common sense from the republican party but instead all we heard was the same old plea for more control more money and more power.

The republican party shot itself in the foot when it decided to shut out the message of liberty and common sense. People are tired of the never ending wars and the attacks on our liberty from both parties the republicans should have recognized this and capitalized on it but instead of doing that it promised more of the same. And it delivered.
