As Christians, are we to just pray about all this stuff we see going on in our country or is it our duty as Christians to actually DO something about it? Is a Christian to refrain from taking action regarding what happens socially in their Government or (as per the Constitution of the United States of America) are they to take action to correct the injustice (physically oust the corrupt politicians, judges, etc)?

We've had many debates about that here and from what I have gathered from them we're supposed to vote for the lesser of two evils then wonder why all we ever get is more evil. And we're supposed to submit to evil because God appoints our leaders or something like that. Yeah I know if God appoints our leaders why bother to vote right?

We vote so we can go to bed at night knowing that we don't support the greater of two evils like the other side does. That's my conclusion based on the many discussions I've been involved in here dealing with this subject.

The world is full of evil and that includes you and I. If you want perfection then it will require death so that you can be with the Father. The second option is to convince the Father to send the Son immediately.

Outside of that we are going to have learn to live with imperfection until either of those occur. These unrealistic expectations of perfection will drive people to go to all kinds of extremes.

Maybe we need to consider ourselves and just who we are in relationship to a righteous God before we get o carried away with novel ideas of perfection.

No one said anything about trying to achieve perfection Rev. The question was asked . . .

All I was trying to do was prepare this new poster for all the conflicting and contradictory opinions that always come from asking this question. So, are you going to share an opinion that applies to the question or not?

Maybe you should go back and reread what I responded to.

What do you propose doing to alleviate which problem?

    Okay.

Maybe you should go back and read the rest of what I said.

Here I'll save you the trouble.

Thank you for being so quick to provide an example of what kind of responses tomana is most likely to get from asking, "As Christians, are we to just pray about all this stuff we see going on in our country or is it our duty as Christians to actually DO something about it?"

Do have an opinion you'd like to share that pertains to the question now Rev?

Why the dichotomy? Why can't we do both? We can pray for our leaders and the state of our country even while we work politically and socially to chaneg things.

Physically oust means we put hands on them and remove them from office. That not only violates the law of the land, it hardly seems godly in that it means assaulting other people.

That's about the most common sense reply I have ever read that applies to this subject on BB Ryan. Bravo!
