Here is a video of college students in front of the White House cheering for Karl Marx, Socialism, and Obama after his victory Tuesday night.

    Warning, some profanity.

We should send kids like this to live in a socialist country like Cuba for a year.

Now if you pay attention to actual leftists (rather than just a bunch of stupid college students), they detest Obama almost as much as they detest the Republicans since from their perspective he is still an imperialist, capitalist, corporatist President.

Which is why the Communist party endorsed Obama.

In the history of the world there has never been a communist government. No one on BB seems to know the difference between communist givernment and a plain old military dictatorship.

Which split off of the Communist Party may I ask? And that doesn't mean much quite frankly-it just means that a certain splinter group of Reds decided that Obama was barely a more tolerable option for them than Romney and followed suit./

I personally don't buy how Obama is even remotely a communist or even a socialist considering he was willing to compromise on the health care bill to reject single-payer, has not pushed at all for reimposition of Glass-Steagall, calls for return to Clinton-era tax rates not Scandinavian or French rates, is not pushing for Value-Added Tax, and was perfectly willing to engage in drone warfare-mind you, these are all progressive criticisms of Obama, I'm not even getting to any sort of potential Marxist/Communist critique.

Read this article for example: http://www.counterpunch.org/2012/11/09/by-their-fruits-ye-shall-know-them/

You are quite correct. There are governments that called themselves Communist, but they were not and are not. No one has really followed Marx or Engels philosophies.

There is an astounding amount of ignorance shown on the board concerning political philosophies of Socialism and Communism. There is also an astounding blind following of the ideology that anything the right-wing does not agree with is socialist or Communist. These folk are great at one liners, but very short on intelligent, rational discourse.

GeneralMungBeans, your last post is also correct.

Just because he does not throw all his cards on the table all at once does not show who he really is. He pushed for what he knew he could get passed. Do not think it is all over.

Show me a president who does not push for what he believes he can pass. Does that make them Communists? Of course not.

This is one of the most convoluted, irrational replies I have seen. You offer absolutely no proof of your accusation and yet we are supposed to take it seriously? I think not.

Show us some facts that show what you believe. I bet you have never read Marx or Engels and in reality have no idea what their political philosophy says. Don't talk about Russia, or China, or Cuba, or North Korea. They call themselves Communist, but they are not as they have not followed that political philosophy.

Thanks for a very good belly laugh. I need it today as I am not feeling well because of a cold.

    Exactly.

It's amazing what some will say while trying to defend Obama and his "modern progressive" (H. Clinton's declaration) agenda.

This country was founded as a REPUBLIC. It seems that few, these days, understand that anything that veers from the basic principles embedded in the Constitution is a move towards socialism and further left than that.

It isn't about Russia taking over the US, as seems to be implied in the quote above. It's about bringing the US into conforming with socialist agenda. The end result will be one world government controlled by the elite and one world religion that doesn't put Jesus Christ above of "kings".

It is about completing the process of fundamentally transforming this nation from a REPUBLIC. We were far down that road before 2008. Will it actually take 4 more years, under Obama, to finish the process? Personally, I doubt it, as our fate was sealed last Tuesday.

Google it. The CPUSA (Communist Party of the USA) endorsed obama for 2012.

The "Progressive" wing of the Democrat Party are Socialists and the names of senators and congressmen who are members used to be proudly touted on the Socialist Party web site until the world wised up and then they were taken down. It's on the Wayback Machine if you care to research. I have posted about that on here several times and even linked to their web site before it was taken down. The Black Caucus is also a part of it.

Oh, well. This is what ignorant Americans voted for and this is what ignorant Americans got. There is nothing new under the sun.

Election 1896 the rhetoric was the same for the election. Over 100 years ago.

    Wall Street versus Main Street
    Capitalism versus Redistribution of Wealth

The "Progressives" have made great gains through the years and were not about to let go of the reins of power after they had worked for so many decades and so hard to put their key players in the White House and here is where we are in 2012. They appealed to the ignorant masses with economic promises they can never fulfill --- (the economy will not bear it) and they won.

Think of it - Think how history repeats itself. But this time, America is on the wrong side of history. :tear:
