Uganda to pass Anti-Gay Law as "Christmas Gift"

    Uganda will pass a new law against homosexuality by the end of 2012 as a "Christmas gift" to its advocates, the speaker of parliament has said. Foreign donors have threatened to cut aid if gay rights are not respected.

    I utterly and unconditionally condemn this law which threatens to impose the death penalty for same-s*x acts.

    The death penalty?!!!:eek: It's very much far from a 'done-deal' that that won't still be in there.

    Anyway, you can't - and shouldn't - police what two consenting adults get up to in the bedroom. (Different if they purport to be Christians in my church, but that's no business of the state either.)
