    Please pray for the following:

Aunt Dot, the last of my aunts and uncles, was just told that she had tumors in her lungs, as well as a goofball size tumor in her colon and a tennis ball size one on her kidney. Because of her age, Mom has opted to refuse treatments and enjoy what time she can. She is my favorite aunt on my mom's side. Please put Dot on your prayer list and hold her up as she approaches her glorious home coming! I ask that you join me in asking God to remove the physical pain and emotional stress these last days and months will place at her doorstep. Pray for personal strength to surround not only Dot, but her beautiful family. They will all need his support in the coming days.

Howard is my next-door neighbor - or at least he was for the last 18 years, until we moved - and he has been fighting cancer for four years now. It started in the colon, but the surgery and chemo were supposed to have done the job. However, last year, they found a spot on his pancreas, and he's been in chemo and radiation since then. Just last week, his wife told me that Howard now had cancer in the stomach, and it looks like the stuff is spreading. He is a lukewarm believer, and needs all the prayers we can personally spare.

We also need to lift up his wife and son and two adult daughters as they face the uncertainty of losing Howard. Their son is a star basketball player with a great future, and he is the apple of Howard's eye. So, include the entire family in your prayers as with aunt Dot.

Prayer is a powerful skill in our arsenal of spiritual tools, and both Dot and Howard need the prayers to continue until His perfect will is done in their lives.

    Thanks!
