When did Jesus reign on Earth?

 

The easiest way is to read the phrase, then cause sounds to come from your vocal chords.

Scripture does not say the world will end 1000 years after Jesus reigned on earth. There will be a new heaven and new earth at the end of the 1000 year reign. Your use of the past tense of reinded (reigned) implies the earth is destroyed 1000 years after the 1000 year reign. The Creation of a new heaven and earth does not mean the old earth is destroyed, but transformed.

If you stick your tongue to a metal pole in freezing weather, soon is how long it takes your tongue to become stuck. If you hit yourself with a hammer repeatedly, you will soon feel good after you stop.

A basic and fundamental doctrine of Christianity is the "imminent" return of Christ. That means He could return today and so we should live each day as if we expected to meet our Lord today.

Not all Christians agree about the 1000 year reign of Jesus. Some say that reign is occurring now in heaven and this view is called Amillennialism.

However, many Christians accept the literal meaning of scripture when says Jesus will reign on earth from David's throne, i.e. in Jerusalem for 1000 actual years. The great Tribulation would precede the 1000 year reign, and Christ's imminent return would occur before or somewhere in the first part of the tribulation.

Bottom line, Jesus could return any day now.
