I had lunch (leftover roast and veggies).
Now, I sit here with a plate of homemade fudge (Reese's peanut butter, peppermint, and butterscotch).

This is a wonderful time of year.

I need to make my Christmas Jam soon and I want to make something that I love but have never made. It's a toffee kind of thing on saltine crackers with chocolate on top. It's SOOOO good and I want to try to make it.

Mont, doesn't the Bible say we aren't to tempt others to sin? In that case, hand over the fudge before someone gets hurt!

Oh, I have not come across that one before. It sounds like a wonderful combination. How do you serve it? Do you use it as we would here in the UK with the Christmas dinner turkey or is it a tea time jam? :)

It's very sweet so I like it on toast or English muffins. It also makes a killer peanut butter and jelly! LOL

When I was a kid my grandmother would always put a jar of homemade choke cherry syrup in the box with our presents. After we opened the presents my mom would make pancakes and we'd enjoy the syrup. Grandma passed away years ago and the tradition went on hiatus. A few years ago we got a Belgian waffle maker from my mom. I knew she was getting it for us. So I revived the tradition, in a way. I buy choke cherry syrup, and huckleberry syrup, and we have waffles.

It is lovely that you have revived a family :)

I make a new baby blanket for each new baby in the family and every year when our grandchildren come to stay in the summer I send them home with jars of apple butter :)

I admit I miss my grandmothers homemade apple butter. Others have tried to replicate it, but they fall short.
