The Senate Republicans, led by the favorite Senator of an unnamed Board member, has done it to the House Republicans one more time. Closeted with good old Joe the Republican leader has capitulated to the democrats one more time, giving them increased taxes with no spending cuts!

This clown is up for election in 2014, and I intend on voting for whoever opposes him in the primary or general election, if necessary.

Where is Ashley when you need her!

On a serious note McConnell has shafted the House Republicans more than once.

We all knew the plan was to lay the blame on the GOP all along.

If they pass the bill they lose because conservatives will blame them for bowing to Obama and selling us out.

If they don't pass the bill they lose because they will be made the scapegoat for gridlock.

Its politics as usual....and none of them cares about the people.

The House gets the blame and the Republicans in the Senate, in particular S/N's buddy, are partially to blame!

Watching portions of the debate in the House, the thought that crosses my mind is thieves patting themselves on the back for voting on a mess they created.

I don't believe all are complicit in the mess but the ones who are not don't know how to get out of it. The Republicans in the House say they will use the debt limit extension to force spending cuts. My guess is the will be shafted by McConnell again and have to fold!

Finding an honest Congress person reminds me of the Lord asking, "Is there one righteous person in the city?" Republicans in the House come as close as there is to any type of integrity, but in the overall scheme of things, not much.

The title of this entire thread is hilarious given what this means in popular culture.

After a nights sleep and some time thinking about this whole situation I have come to agree with you.

I am no longer mad at Obama and the Dem's. They are just doing what it is they do. I don't have to like it though.

As to to blame, your are right. This rests solely at the feet of the GOP who sold us out.

Concerning this fiscal cliff fix.....it isn't one. All it does is kick the can down the road concerning some very important issues. Before the vote we faced tax increases and uncontrolled spending and after the vote we face tax increases and out of control spending.

While I agree that Republicans mostly capitulated, it is interesting to note that liberals are furious because they believe Obama caved in. After all, Boehner was willing to give Obama $800 billion in fresh revenues and this bill only gets him $600 billion. So liberals believe Obama left money on the table.

So now the battle lines are drawn for the debt ceiling/spending cuts debate. They kicked the spending can down the road so it will coincide with the debt ceiling deadline. That's when I expect Republicans will make a half-hearted 'stand' and bring the stock market down about 1,000 points before caving in.

It amazes me how you, being a conservative, know what liberals think secretly.

I don't believe he accused liberals of thinking. That would be an oxymoron!

I don't believe the GOP has been thinking, either.

I call them the Stupid Party. I suspect that means they are incapable of thinking. I try to give them the benefit of my wisdom but they ignore me!
