    Per the Speaker's blog:

    http://www.speaker.gov/press-release/house-leadership-statement-senate-agreement

Have the American people had a chance to "review the legislation?" No, they are voting on it now!!!

I am angry and disgusted. So, this is what I posted on the Speaker's blog a short time ago:

Feel free to go over there & post your disgust. You don't have sign up, just use any pseudonym and a correct email address. Use the pull-down menu to see the newest comments.

By the way, you'll see a change in your next payroll check, less money for take-home.

This is par for the course. They have promised in the past to be transparent and put bills online for the people to read before a vote. It hasn't happened. In fact the last speaker had the gall to say they needed to vote for the obamacare bill so that THEY could know what was in it.

Anger is too tame a word.

The payroll tax is used to pay Social Security. They are paying out more than they are taking in. More debt!

You do realize bills have been put forth and the Dem's, led by Obama, have not done the work they were supposed to and give us a budget?

This mess rests in Obama's desk as president. Although there is enough blame to go around for the RINO's that have kissed his boot. You know what rolls downhill.

That's OK. I'll read the transcripts. I don't care to watch. It would just make me angrier

To show how phoney the debate has been over the past several months, supposedly unable to come to an agreement, consider the following. Not until the deadline approached and passed did both Houses act. The Senate passed the bill 89-8, and the House is about to vote out a 90%+ approval. Congress spent 2012 doing nothing but taking off and playing games.

What's in the bill, in fine print - more debt.

CBO reports it adds 3.9 Trillion more to National Deficit.

    http://thehill.com/blogs/on-the-mon...iscal-cliff-deal-carries-4-trillion-price-tag

    Millions for rum producers
    59 million for algae growers
    NASCAR gets a piece
    Electric Motorcycles

They patted themselves on the back on both sides of the aisle this evening like they have done something great for America. Sickening, absolutely sickening.

For anyone that's interested the entire text of the Senate and Housr bills is available (for free) with corresponding documentation here:

    http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d112:h.r.8:

I think these bills are all so interesting. For instance under the rationale for the House bill it starts with this: (1) The tax code is unfair, containing hundreds of provisions that only benefit certain special interests, resulting in a system of winners and losers.

What an interesting way of putting it.

Very well said!!!:applause: I resigned myself a long time ago that the powers that be are all in cahoots and would continue to allow themselves to be placed in a "bind" so that it would appear that there was no other choice.

There's simply not enough men and women of gumption and character in Congress or government to collectively change it anymore.

We are well past the tipping point of no return and it will continue this way as evidenced by all the stuff taking place that shouldn't be allowed.

    thank you.
my family said I was too pessimistic when I told them the deal on the fiscal cliff is already cut, dried, and signed, and all this thingamajig about somebody protesting this or that is for show to make everybody look like they were really kicking it.
Like my boss told me back when I wore a younger man's work clothes, "we dig trenches around the house in doing termite control so we would sweat and appear to really be working hard. It's all really just Bravo-Sierra. lol."
    Such is life.
    Man is a fallen creature.
