It's not. Not unless it was brought up so that we could pray for Dr. Rand Paul's family as he tries to serve us in the Senate.

Or we could discuss Al Gore's son, as he has a pretty long string of drunken and disorderly conduct, I do believe....

It's really a shame that these kids think only of themselves and not the shame, embarassment, and humiliation that befalls their parents when they do this stuff. We are, whether we like it or not, a reflection of our parents as we go through life. We either bring honor or shame to them while they are alive, or honor or shame to their memory, if they have departed.

Dr. Rand Paul and his family need our prayers.

If the airline served someone under age, then they should be held accountable.

The bigger outrage should be the airline that should not be serving alcohol to a minor. Why weren't THEY arrested like a bartender would be?

Who cares? This is just a useless trash post that seeks to raise an argument against a position based on the actions of a person completely outside the discussion framework.

    yeah, pretty much.

I was going to say the liberals are trying to damage the rep of a conservative and his kid for underage drinking and getting a little roudy. It's typical liberal hypocrisy.

Personally, I think he should be held accountable and so should the airline staff who gave him the booze.

The legal age to drink on airliners is set by the airline. They are immune to state laws., This is done traditionally because 18 year olds who were on their way to boot camp could have a beer or two.

And, this flight seems like a real short one. Hard to believe he could have consumed enough to be drunk in that short of a time.

Simply because he bears the surname Paul.

This is more concerning than the OP's story.

MINNEAPOLIS - An American Eagle pilot was suspended after failing a blood-alcohol test as he prepared to fly on Friday from Minneapolis to New York City, authorities said.

Police at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport said officers and a Transportation Security Administration agent smelled alcohol as they passed the pilot waiting to get on an elevator. The pilot was conducting preflight checks at about 6 a.m. when police boarded the aircraft, airport spokesman Patrick Hogan said.

Hogan said preliminary results from the breath test were well over the legal limit, but he declined to release the results. He said the "more precise" results from the blood test would be released when they're available.

I had a pretty good buzz going by the time my plane taking me to boot camp landed. But then there was an hour delay when I boarded the second flight out of Washington DC. Something about one of the instruments.

Gave me an extra hour to gulp down a few more of those little bottles of Yukon ... Jack! Thank God my drinking days are behind me.

I believe that all US airlines have an age set of 21 for alcoholic beverages.

I have seen people being carded on airplanes before being served alcohol, as recently as last year.
