some Dem's not sold on Obama gun grab

    The lukewarm response in the Senate to Obama's highly anticipated anti-gun violence plan portends an uphill climb for the legislation. And it underscores how, as the president's backers prepare to launch a veritable campaign to promote the plan, they will be pressuring members of their own party as much as reluctant Republicans.

    No Democrat in the Senate came out against Obama's gun plan. But several appeared to be on the fence or noncommittal, even as the president's allies in the House cheered the package as a long-sought solution to America's gun violence problem.

    I read through those 23 executive orders and they looked more like political fluff then gun grab.

    It looked like a trick for the president to say 'Look anti-gun lobby, aren't I great? I issued 23 executive orders on gun control' while at the same time doing nothing.

    Politics at its best (worst?).

    How about showing me some language in the orders that constitute confiscation of firearms. You can't, because it does not exist.

    You're right he did not sign a clear executive order banning guns. You have to look at all the pieces to the puzzle in order to see reality. I'm sorry you lack the understanding necessary to see the implications of what is being said and done and what their end game is...or perhaps you see it, agree with it, and are just a shill.

    I got the same "Jest" as you did from his flimsy 23 executive orders-----sounds real "TOUGH" ------ but its enough to convince the general public that his IQ is somewhere "in the heavenlies"----which is fine with the general public---so long as he has his puppets convinced!!!

    Some Senate democrats know that if they support the coming gun ban legislation, their chances at re-election will drop dramatically.

    It is possible this issue could cost democrats the Senate in 2016. They know it.

    Six year old Timmy goes to see Dr. Smith for a check up. Hi ya Dr. Smith says Timmy how are you? I'm fine says Dr. Smith do your parents own any guns Timmy? How many do they have? Do any of them look like the one in this picture? Do they keep them locked up? Do your parents ever argue? Do you feel safe around around your parent's guns? Are your parents conservatives? Do they talk about the U.S. constitution? Do they watch Fox News?

    Obama's political fluff turns gun ownership into a disease and doctors into government snitches. Isn't that special Timmy?

    Wannabe dictators have to have snitches and informers. Some of Obama's executive orders are intended to make the potential informers feel more comfortable with the role he wants them to play.

    Moral. Don't ever leave your kid alone with a doctor or nurse.

    There is no doubt that confiscation is what he would like to do, but politically, he can't pull it off. In typical liberal fashion, he'll nibble around the edges of it and make sure the opportunity is there to advance that agenda in the future. Just like Obamacare. The goal is a health care plan controlled completely by government. That is still his goal.


    That is why every single effort to restrict 2ND Amendment rights must be vigorously opposed. Confiscation is down the road, but a few more anti-American presidents like Obama and it'll be here before you know it.
