How unAmerican can you get. Gerrymandering should be outlawed.

MP, you are aware that both parties - when they are in power do divide districts via gerrymandering.

Therefore the headline should read "Democrats refuse to admit to gerrymandering"

    You are showing off....

...your bias and partisanship once again. Gerrymandering is only bad when it is the other party doing the gerrymandering.

However, me thinks that the the Magnetic Polesman will not admit that I am right! Right?

A good liberal would say, if a conservative did something one time and liberals did the same thing 10,000 times, that the conservative did it too(which is true) so they should clean up their back yard before they say anything about us. What you read and see does not affect what one does.
If the conservative did it 10,000 times and the liberal did it one time, they would say the conservatives are so out of control it is the cause of the one and only mistake by a liberal, what you see and read does affect what you do.

It does not matter which party is gerrymandering ... it is bad, dishonest and unethical ... but it will continue by both parties and by any other party that ever gains control and can do so.

Just as Congress was controlled for a generation by democrats. Same reason...gerrymandering. democrats raised it to an art form. republicans finally caught on and turned the tables.

    Now democrats don't like it.:tear:

Wrong. I did say it should be outlawed. But it is also the reason why the GOP is still hanging on to the House.

Exactly. And that is why it should be outlawed. It is a stinking, cheating way to try to defeat the will of the voters.

Agreed. So is allowing courts and legislatures to overrule the will of the people.

So it would appear we have found an issue that brings unity and agreement from the vastly diverse posters on this board. Amazing! :)
