On one hand, I'm inclined to call him Bill Bellyache. On the other, I really don't know if I would be different in that position. Long in the past when I showed poor sportsmanship, I used to say, "Should Jesus be a good sport with the devil?" But sports are only simulations of things really important... or are they? If not, I'm back to being a sore loser.

When the Patriots lost to the Ravens back in September Belichick went off the field yelling at a ref. This time he went off not talking to anyone.

Belichick has never had the reputation of being Mr. Polite or Mr. Nice Guy.

The Patriots have a good team, but were simply out played and beaten by a better team last night.

I used to have respect for Belichick and the Patriots until they were caught videotaping opposing team's practices, and had been doing so for years, including the Rams Super Bowl practices in 2002. Now every time I watch them I see arrogant cheaters.

One thing for sure, they are the most overrated football team in the NFL. (Assuming the Cowboys have relinquished the title. LOL.)

Some can win or lose with class, Bill can't. Joe Gibbs, John McKay and Dan Reeves could.

75 years ago as a child I used to listen to a Sports Show on WCHS in Charleston WV sponsored by a local men's store, Frankenbergers. At the end of each show the sportscaster (If I recall correctly, his name was Earnie Sanders) always signed off by saying,
"Win without boasting and loose without an alibi".
Some how this made an impression on me and I have tried to practice it. Unfortunately I have not always done so.

This is not true. Belichick and Harbaugh did a post-game handshake and talked for a short time. What Belichick did is to brush off the post-game interview with television, CBS in this case.

What is your criteria for most overrated? I don't see how they could be the most overrated in a league that includes the Cowboys and the Jets.

Same here, my Dad was a coach for over 25 years, I was taught never to cheat. I was turned off big time when I heard about this cheating scandal. They are a great team, they really don't need to do that. Ever since I have pulled against them.

How can you keep harping on Cowboys? I haven't heard people rave about them in last 5-6 years like they do the Patriots.

My bride has been a Patriots fan since before we met (that was 1997) and even she's noted the arrogance of Brady and has been dissatisfied with the sportsmanship of the team.

Every year you hear about how they are going to be in the playoffs. How Brady is the best quarterback ever. How Belichick is a genius. Once they get to the playoffs they are almost always the favorite to get to the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl. Yet they lose to teams that, on paper, have no business beating them. I have to believe that Joe Montana would not have played a lackluster game had he been the QB of the 16-0 Patriots when they lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl. No way does Joe Montana or Brett Favre lose that game to the Giants.

Reminds me of Lou Geiger's reputation for sliding into second base with the spikes raised high.

I believe by that time in the game Brady was very frustrated and realized they were going to loose.

I believe that was Ty Cobb, it would take a Georgia boy to do that, Lou's mother would have wore out his rear end if he did something like that. But his mother did feed him pickled eel.

I stand corrected. Do you think it is true that Ty Cobb sharpened his spikes?

Believe whatever you want, but your entire premise is called into question when you don't have your facts right.

2 weeks before the Giants beat the 18-0 Patriots in the Super Bowl, they beat Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game.

NFL players don't wear spikes. They wear cleats.

My premise is that "had Brett Favre been the QB of the 16-0 Patriots no way would he have lost that game" not "Brett Favre as QB of the Packers".

My point is that Brady had a chance at NFL immortality and he came out and played a so-so game. Here is a team that just set an NFL record for offensive scoring and are undefeated. One more victory over a team that got into the playoffs via the Wild Card and they would have been the greatest team of all time. But Brady didn't have it in him to do it.

OK, my bad. It was still a cheap shot (looked like he was aiming for Reed's knee) and I hope the NFL fines Brady.

My friend, what if make good talk but not much truth. In my book three of the best QBs to play were Dan Marino, Sonny Jurgensen and "Slingin" Sammy Baugh, never won a super bowel but Sammy won an NFL championship before super bowels. Some days just aren't yours. I lived in St. Louis Park, Mn. when the Twins loss to LA in the WS. After the first two games all looked well, then things changed. I still think Killebew is just as good as if they had won. I guess a LDS can play baseball for the Twins but can't live in the White House.

Belichick is both a poor loser and a cheat ---

Remember when they used to open up the stadium doors so the incoming wind would affect the opposing team's field goals?
Remember when they cleaned the snowy field so their field goal kicker could kick the winning field goal off the ground rather than off snow?
Remember when they finally got caught filming the other teams?

I too believe that Brady deliberately tried to spike/kick Ed Reed. Very classless. But then again, didn't he leave his pregnant girlfriend and run off with a supermodel?
