My neice wanted me watch this for advice in how to train. Actually seems like a great workout (probably not my thing though ) but I don't see how they avoid getting bruised up and sore. Incredible muscle control. This girl's a serious athlete!

Tactfully done but don't watch if seeing a girl in sports bra and shorts bothers you:

It may be athletic etc., but it is hardly a thing suitable for a Christian woman, as it's history is rather amoral. Just my opinion, but there must be lots of other routines as an option?

Eh, using that performance as an example I would not try to hold her accountable for the shortcomings of others who use it for differrent purposes. For all I know she could very well be Christian and witnesses to others in that field...Jesus ate and drank with the sinners despite their known reputations. To me, finding something to get one involved in fitness is a good thing. As per routine options I see the performance as merely a test of skills that in her case must have a lot other physical training behind it to get to the point she has to test those skills.

BTW, I've heard about you BRIONY!

That is of course very true. If I offended you and I hope I have not...I apologise.

ME poledancing.....I would be arrested for visual assault and battery.....sadly I am overweight, grey of hair and not in the prime of life:laugh:.

I am attending a gym where there are motivation folk....I start with enthusiasm but it dribbles out by the end of a month so this is probably more important than anything else.

I am on a gluten free month as a starter, I don't believe in much of the market driven health information, but I have been surprised and pleased how this removal of wheat products have helped my chronic low energy difficulties. I may yet be converted!!!

It is interesting to discover a growing antipathy towards obesity, I certainly look askance at those who are. It is not just shoving food in one's mouth, but changing any bad habit is very difficult....therefore the reward of achievement is greater I suspect.

    Not a chance. :)

Well, both of those circumstances have workable solutions and the values pertaining to prime of life can subjectively change considerably with a fresh new outlook, especially when beginning to see the path your on is working. I once met an amazing 78 year old woman who had started working out 5 years prior (became a gym rat) who said she is in the prime of her life (“never felt better, stronger or happier”).

Motivation is important: "Where the heart is willing, it will find a thousand ways. Where it is unwilling, it will find a thousand excuses." “If you've lost your motivation, you're not following your heart. Be fearless enough today to claim your new start!” ;)

A place with motivating people makes it easier to start forming “habits” (very important!) because the first step is making a solid commitment to at the very least – show up on a regular routine bases, - make this a priority – and you’ll find once you’re there and being surrounded with other motivated people it is easier to started on your workout.

That’s a good start. You’ll also find that in sticking to an exercise routine and diet it becomes easier and you can go further. Keeping track of what you do and watching for improvements helps motivate you also. Seeing progress and related benefits is very rewarding and exciting! – Addiction to that high makes conversion become reality.

The most drastic weight-loss results I have witnessed have come from those who go about eliminating sugar completely and cutting back on bad fats along with their commitment to sticking to a regular exercise routine.

You know it. Health improvement starts with baby steps moving toward lifestyle changes. You do what you’ve always done; you get what you’ve always got. - This amazingly healthy new body may seem as distant as a science fiction future, but if you'll just begin, the future is already one day closer than before. Stick to it and form those habits!

You never know what the future may hold.
