I think it hurt him. Why?

    1. He criticized the president for things he did not say. They were what Rubio thought Obama would say.
    2. He voted against the Violence Against Women Act ... not a good way to attract women voters
    3. He bragged about living in a middle class neighborhood ... but is trying to sell his home there and move away
    4. He interrupted himself by taking a drink of water and interrupting the idea he was talking about
    5. The speech borrowed too many lines from Romney's failed campaign speeches
    6. He presented no new ideas.

A person should never write a speech in reply to another's speech and not revise it when that person does not talk about what you are criticizing him for.

Me thinks you borrowed too many lines from Rachel Maddow

as far as the issues "you" mentioned - other than the mis-informed info on the VAWA - there was no policy stated.

If you vote against a man because he took a drink of water, than you have no business voting.

I wouldn't vote against a man who took a drink of water. But it did "water-down" the point he was making.

It is far too far away from the next election to make any decisions. We have no idea who will be running ... well not a very good idea.

Rubio is a good looking fellow, would be a good looking candidate. He speaks well, when he is not taking a drink of water. But he does need to be better prepared.

Also, if he votes against issues the majority of Americans are for he will not win a national election, IMHO. The vote against Violence Against Women is one example.

Heavens, I may not be alive by the next election so I am certainly not going to put any personal emotional well being or concern on the next election ... not yet.

Nothing in his speech was wrong , he nailed the President on every point. But see this is what kooliad drinking liberals do. They try to distract from reality by making issues out of no n issues.

I have new for ya. Not everything Rubio said needed to be a direct response to everything or anything the President said. But then you already knew that.
