Was the Last Supper a Passover Seder? What say you?

    I believe they occupied the place they did on the evening of the fourteenth to begin the following day of preparing that place by removing the leaven and would have there prepared the lamb between the two evenings during the daylight hours of the fourteenth. Jesus had a longing to be there to eat that passover with them but also knew he would not for as shown by the leavened bread they ate that night which represented him being made sin for them. and the cup representing his blood by which their sin would be removed thus unleavening them; See 1 Cor 5: 7 as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:


    All the more reason the church Christ built should have been keeping the feast of unleavened bread.

    In that article you shared, one of the arguments against being a seder, was the repeated use of "preparation". Do not the more orthodox Jews make considerable preparations each and every evening just prior to any sabbath?

    I don't have enough theological training to be very helpful. Speaking from purely a "mathematical" angle. 3 to 1, 3 synoptics that many suggest imply the seder to John's account being distinctly different.

    Thank you for sharing the article, I am enjoying reading it as well.
