And the utter hypocrisy of this is there will be no decrease of firearm violence on cable TV, it'll be business as usual. It's incredible.

Yep. How many shows on NBC portray people carrying or shooting firearms, especially while comitting crime? I agree with Carpro that it's meaningless in a practical sense; it is nothing but a feel-good act.

Its crazy! The fact is there is a movement to rid US citizens the right to own firearms. And this is a result of that propaganda!

And, perhaps, the goal to draw more advertising dollars from those seeking to ban all private ownership of firearms.

Television is all about profit -- the bottom line.

Good shows are canceled because of ratings points and not the content. Outrageous behavior draws viewers, thus advertising dollars.

When I turn on the TV in the morning to get local news and weather, I could care less about the First Ladies new hair cut. Nor the lastest scandal from Hollywood, nor what Justin Beaver is doing. etc. & etc. Yet, have to wade through all that "stuff" for a few minutes of real "news" and 5 minutes of weather.

    Sigh....

    Isn't this called discrimination?

What if they refused to air any black people or homose*uals in ads? There would be a big uproar.

I don't really trust NewsMax. I would need to see the documentation. They have a tendency to twist the truth to fit an ideological bent to stir up the dander of conservative readers. Not to say that I don't agree with their ideology but I just don't trust their reporting.

Yes it is discrimination, but it is not illegal unless the subject is a "protected class" ie gender, race, ect

This FCC info may shed some light
