    My concerns

I really do hope they don't mess this up as badly (or at all if possible)as most Hellywood enterprizes usually do when handling things of a Biblical nature. Most of the time Biblical accuracy is sacrificed and "trumped" by "artistic license". The danger is that many "Christians" these days spend far more time watching their TV's than they do reading or studying their Bibles. I will watch this series hoping that they are faithful to the text of God's Word. We need to be discerning.

I don't have cable but seen previews of this at the movies. I hope to get the whole episodes on Bluray someday. Anything that can be use to magnify The Lord count me in!

Thank you for this link, in particular.

While planning to DVR this, as it isn't likely that I'll get to watch all the episodes, when aired, I had reservations. Most of what I've watched on the History channel(s) over the last few years, tends to put question marks around God. In subtle and not so subtle ways to cast doubts and pose alternatives to the very existance of our Creator. As a result, I've quit watching anything on the History channel relating to the Bible.

It's good to know there is a postive endorsement from this ministry.

I saw Roma (sp?) Downey and her husband, the makers of the film, on TV being interviewed. It looks like it will be very good and with the purposeful intent of being pro-God's Word. They said there will be 5 Old Testament storylines and 5 New Testament ones.

    Same here m'friend!
I'll be on the lookout for this movie now, but except for this thread, I would never given it a second thought because of the past TV treatment of biblical topics.

Watched the first episode tonight and there is no running commentary that casts doubt or anything like that. There were some inaccuracies, such as Pharaoh not being killed along with his army, but nothing blasphemous that I saw. The miracles were portrayed as miracles. There are big gaps in the history of Israel, however, as it goes from Lot escaping Sodom to the children of Israel as slaves in Egypt. Then it goes from crossing of the Red Sea to Joshua and Jericho, and it will take up there next Sunday night. For those who missed it, it will air again Wednesday night.
