It's interesting that Mr. Obama blames this, forced, 2% Spending Adjustment on the House Republicans. He and his team have, finally, admitted the idea of this forced cut back is a result of the White House Team and not from the House or Senate Republicans. So, as former President Trumen said, “The buck stops here,” and since Mr. Obama recently quoted in answering a reporter that was asking, “Who is responsible,” in another matter, doesn't this “buck” also fall dead on Obama's desk?

Now, I agree that the Republican controlled House and the Democratic controlled Senate are not without blame because they had to write and pass the Bill along to the White House but tell, “Did the man seated in the Oval Office, Barak Obama, not sign it into Law? Of course he did and he, alone, had the final authority here because had he sent it back, vetoedç that would have been the end of the matter.

Not only that, we elected the leaderless Congress. Both sides are to blame. You are totally right, both the President and Congress are nothing but a reflection of us.

A country of empire builders...that was our goal brother...the bankers financed the wars & now they want their ROI...and a weak & ineffective government allows it. No hardened men left from the past to say no. I wonder how far this charade will last. God will raise up men of value again to stand against this Micky Mouse crudd....I feel it already happening. Those are the Christian right...step up men, step up.

It depends on what one uses as a standard of measure. If one uses the establishment standard, there is a wide gap between the two major parties. If one uses the Constitution or the Bible as a standard, it takes a microscope to see the gap.

Both of you have valid points and the shame of it all is that, as a people, we just remain still and can't even discuss the truth of it. This topic, almost always drives people into their, respective, corners to come out swinging.
