McCain and Graham are liberals. Let the Democrats have them.

You're right about that. There shouldn't have been any rose colored glasses left after watching the lead up to the 2008 elections. At least for those with conservative political viewpoint.

At any "gathering" it's always interesting to see who gets a seat at the head table.

Isn't it almost always friends and most ardent supporters of the lead speaker?

The real liberal in relation to Rand Paul is our other Senator Mitch McConnell, the Republican Minority leader. Mitch tried everything in his establishment power to have Rand Paul defeated in the Kentucky primary. Not only did Rand Paul win the primary, he won with general election with 58%. Mitch is up for reelection in 2014, and my sincere hope is that he is defeated in the primary. He is nothing but a Republican establisment liberal.

McConnell went to the Senate floor to support Paul. Our Sen. Dan Coats was having a fancy dinner with Obama. I would say that the two Kentucky Senators are better than the two Indiana Senators, although Dan Coats is very nice personally--the one time that I met him. I think that if you are called to meet with the President, you have to go for the sake of the country. Personally I think McConnell is okay but I leave it to you, SN.

I applaud Sen. Paul for standing up to the continuous increase in executive power and I agree he is a hero for this. He's actually earned a lot of praise from progressives over this. The idea the President has power to order drone strikes on American citizens on American territory takes the constitutional concerns to a whole new level. I was upset to see the lack of progressive voices in the Senate joining Sen. Paul (Earth calling Bernie Sanders), but Sen. Paul did get the statement he wanted out of Eric Holder.

Amen to that these guys are Obama light in my book. Thats why Republicans won't win unless we have stark contrast and get McCain in a retirement home and let the new boys do the job.:type:
