Pilates wife had a dream and it does not make sense that it was from God, so I believe it was from satan. Under this view then Satan was not involved in the crucifixion of Christ, but that was all the workings of evil men, but then again why did he inspire Judas to betray Jesus? I am confused.

OK...am I the only one that thought that Evangelist6589 wanted his wife to get in shape using Pilates?

The way the title reads, I thought this thread was about the dream Pilate had about his wife.

    Two quick thoughts:
Satan didn't merely "inspire" Judas to betray Jesus...he possessed him. I think the question is, Why do you believe that it doesn't make sense that that dream was from God? I see no reason to assume that. I think your confusion may dissapear if you let go that assumption. Satan apparently DID have very much to do with Christ's crucifiction, see Gen 3: 15.

I don't know 'bout that, but my dream way of getting in shape would be to get a "six-pack abs", 22" arms of muscles, can run 5 miles w/o sweating, and eating a dozen doughnuts watching someone doing pilates.

This is my weight loss system. For only 5 installments of $59.95, you too, can do this. If you do not lose any weight, you didn't eat your doughnuts fast enough. Speed is what helps to burn calories, and if you gain any weight while on this diet, you can't blame me for eating your doughnuts too slowly. IOW, you can't sue me for becoming a "bucket of lard".

    HA! Laughed out loud!

People want me to get into shape. I told them "I'm round...round is a shape...I'm in shape!"

Ref Gen 3:15; what entity was to bruise the heel of 'the seed of the Woman'? That should help clear up your confusion concerning Satan's involvement. As far as the 'source' of the dream I'm not sure why it's important to know that right now. Balaam prophesied from God, yet tried to work against Him at the same time. Go figure.

Fact: Pilate's wife had a dream.

Presupposition: It does not made sense that it was from God.

Conclusion Based upon a Presupposition: It was from Satan.

I think a better hermenuetic is in order.

Correct....I think the assumption that it was not from God is unwarranted. I believe it was.

    This should answer your question.

The Devil has tried to thwart the plan of God from the beginning. He has attempted to do it in five different ways. His five target areas of destruction have been:

    1. The Human Race

    2. The Nation Israel

    3. The Promised Line

    4. Jesus Christ

    5. The Church
