How do you feel about some members (fully qualified) to have a concealed weapon in church?

This is a multiple choice poll

I don't think it is a big deal to me, I would put it in my music choice department. Down aways on the picking chart for me.
If two churches are equal I would rather go to the one with less music, two to four hymns, not half an hour or more.
If two churches are equal I would rather go to one that didn't have weapons in SS or service.
But in either case, what is being taught is number one and getting the Gospel out.

I know for a fact that some of our men are armed. These are cops, ex cops and ex military - one even having been former secret service. I feel completely confident in their skill and ability to use their guns wisely and I feel safer with them there.

Gun free zones are hunting grounds. No go for me.

I only make exceptions for the mall occasionally since around here the only really good stores are in the malls. Plus in MD it's virtually impossible to get a CHL anyway...:BangHead:

I take comfort in knowing that there are some who arm themselves to protect the sheep from the wolves. Fwiw I carry.

You never know who is toting heat at any rate anyway. Legal or illegal.

I know several who carry at church. I just don't want to hear someone sing, "Shot through the heart and you're to blame...."

...all members of a church should be armed!

There are exceptions of course but all level headed adults properly trained should be armed. Did Jesus tell his disciples in Luke 22:36,

"Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."

...but we all know that isn't really what Jesus was really referring to, right? I don't really believe, as some do, that Jesus was referring to a non-literal sword.

I also really don't believe our Lord expects any of us to be helpless victims.

Yeah, if you trust Smith and Wesson over Jesus, you probably should carry a gun out of fear.:BangHead:

    Makes me want to cry.

A professing believer in our Saviour implying that any other member of the body of Christ puts anything, and I mean anything, over his or her trust in our Lord.

Those folks really have a lot of faith. They don't work because Jesus will provide for them. They do not own a car because they can wait for Jesus to take them to church.

Reminds me of the story where a man was caught up in a flood and was forced to his roof by the rising waters. As he stood on the peak of his roof and the rising waters reached his ankles some men came by in a canoe and said "Come on get in we will save you." The man on the roof replied " No that is ok Jesus will save me!" So the men left. As the rising waters reached the waist of the man on the rood a helicopter flew overhead and dropped a ladder. The co pilot called down and said "grab the ladder and climb up we will save you!" The man on the rood said "No, Jesus will save me!" So the helicopter left. As the rising water reached the shoulders of the man on the rood a motor boat came by. A man in the boat reached out to grab the man on the roof and said "grab my arm I will save you." The man on the rood said. No, Jesus will save me."

Well the man drowned. And as he reached the pearly gates St.Peter was standing there with a puzzled look on his face. Peter asked "What in heavens name are you doing here. I sent you a canoe, a helicopter, and a boat?"

    Mark,
Don't you know that Guns is the exception to that philosophy. You need to read Hezekiah 13:34
