A true believer can turn away from his walk with Christ, but he cannot lose his salvation. 1 Corinthians 5:5 "Deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus."

One of my favorite scriptures is John 10:5 But they will NEVER follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”

being a calvinist, would say the saved saint cannot lose salvation, for its the very gift of God, and the entire trinity involved in getting us saved and secured, but we can still suffer great loss by choosing to live beneath our calling in christ!
And even get called home if we keep persisting!
