I was glad to see someone in the public eye speak truth clearly to this issue when every other commentator was drinking the kool aid of tolerance and "acceptance":thumbsup:

Tolerance and acceptance, that is, of anything except a Biblically-based viewpoint.

It was a little surprising to see the "coming out" as the lead story on the national news. You would think that the basketball player did something heroic. SMH.

    And praying For Chris Broussard.

When tim tebow 'came out' that he was a Chrsitian, did the president give him a "thanks for sharing' call?

    The Day Is Fast Approaching...

The day is fast approaching in the United States that to "stand up" and name the name of Christ and take a strong, consistent for Biblical Christian values will be very costly in terms of personal, emotional and even material (the ONLY kind that really matters to many) "comforts". Believers in Communist or Islamic countries already know this. The acceptance in our land of the "gay" rights agenda is just the tip of the iceberg.....but it IS a "game-changer" because it will de-throne and effectively destroy the moral foundation upon which our society has rested....and that is the first "institution" that God put in place....the traditional family. Satan MUST be laughing with great glee....even though ultimately his laughter will be short-lived (Thank God!). I'm actually amazed that we still even have a "country" in light of the on-going national holocaust of abortion and our rampant narcisism. We as believers in Christ need to get serious about walking with our Lord and serving Him faithfully. Only that which is done for Him really matters.

Yes indeed brother Greg.....sadly at this time this is more evidence of God's judgement upon us nationally.

Yes. The harshest judgment God can bring on anyone is to leave him alone and let him reap the natural consequences of his sin.

I pray that he won't leave us alone.

Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft!

Tom...I pray you are right as well......

In light of the above title I will just add that most of this country...both within AND without the church is not responding well at all to the kind of "spankings" that God has begun to mete out upon us. There is much pride and bluster...but not much spiritual enlightenment...inspite of all our many so-called "resources". I confess myself that it is far too easy to fall into a state of spiritual lethargy that seems so very hard to overcome on a day to day basis. It will only get worse unless the knees are bowed in repentance. However...God will take care of that faithful (relatively few) remnant that seeks to be faithful in living for Him and proclaiming His truth regardless of the cost to them personally. I believe that with all my heart. I pray all of us here on the BB and in each of our respective church assemblies will be among THAT number.

Thank you for that post. It is possible to stand for Christ quite clearly without anger and acting like a barbarian. This guy is a great example for us all. I have nothing to base this on, but there is something about this legal march to a 50 state gay marriage that greatly worries me as far as the Lord's tolerance for this nation.

I do not know the inner mind of the Lord (how many times has that been said in different debates), and do not know where He says "that it, its over" but this seems to be IMO a possible over the line event. The Lord continued to bless this nation after throwing Him out of the public domain, abortion, and now this.

It is one thing to sin, as we all do. Fifty years ago things like homosexual activity and abortion were kept quiet, in the shadows of society. It is quite another to take those sins, make it the official law of the land, and proudly tell the world it has our legal stamp of approval. To me, it is like rubbing God's nose in sin. I cannot explain why I feel the fifty state issue would be the final straw but it has been a sick feeling in my stomach since this crap started. This is an issue so disguisting, that it would turn my stomach if I were lost.

I also wanted to say, your posts come across to me in a completely different light than when we used to cross swords daily. As time passes, I appreciate them more every day.

I pray you're right, as well.

However, from the standpoint of this nation, as a whole, don't think God will "leave us alone". And, with the way everything is shaping up, that includes this whole world. Pause for a moment, and look outside our boundries, whether industrial nations or 3rd world countries. It seems that most, if not all, are on the same path that we are taking. Some ahead of us and some behind us. All headed in the same direction.

If we haven't already reached the point of no return, keep wondering if June and the SCOTUS ruling will be that point for this country. Will history simple repeat itself, as it did with the Hebrews? Or, will God say He's had enough? Will He find the "10" that will stay His hand? Is there any nation that hasn't heard the Gospel?

Back to an individual basis, we still have hope and assurance.

    Psalms 23: KJB

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

the good new in all of this is that the dividing line is being drawn, that there seems to be coming a time here in the ole USA, when we Chrsitians will have to take a stand for christ, and the lord promised that when the enemycomes in like a flood, He will come in like an ocean!

mindful of daniel, how he was bless/prospered of the lord, evil while in pagan babylon! he stayed form and strong inhis God!
