Pastor John MacArthur preaches against the prosperity gospel advocated by various heretics, exposing their teaching as a satanic, false Christianity and false view of God. He calls several out by name, including Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, and Kenneth Copeland, and says he believes that they all hate the true God.

With all the disagreement between christians on what the bible really say's, which really means the God i believe in does not believe what your God believes, meaning we must worship two different Gods, meaning you probabily hate my God and i hate yours, so are we not all guilty ?

IMO, we all believe in and worship the same Father God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

But, maybe you're saying the Spirit is revealing 2 sets of "truths"?

The precious Holy Spirit is the Workhorse of the Triune God, and does not wish to be worshipped.
The same humility we saw when the Word-Logos (in the form of a man) was here.

Let's see ... Both who were/are here on earth with us ... were/are big into humility.

IMO, Johnny is probably guilty of what the post-apostolic church leaders were guilt of:
they desired to make themselves look as spiritual as anyone else around ...
by insisting that no one had any special baptism and any special spiritual gifts.

Is he actually saying this, or is he only coming against some false teachers on TV?

And MacArthur loves and appreciates John Calvin too! I knew you'd come around.

Like all your other posts, you twist words to make a meaning match your opinion. You also do this with Bible verses. You know that Rev Mitchell like MacArthur does not mean he likes Calvin. Can you post in one thread without bringing up that idiot?

If you do a little research on John MacArthur you will find out he probably studies the scriptures more than any man alive today. He explains why he thinks the TBN preachers hate God and I must agree. I don't know their hearts but I can smell their fruit and it's a bit tainted.

He is also a dispensationalist. But some of his best work has been done in researching the Charismatic movement.

While I believe that there are a couple things on which John MacArthur needs to be corrected, of this I am sure: The church is greatly helped by him. And the church is greatly harmed by those like Benny Hinn and Copeland.

A guy w/o the Spirit baptism, and any of the related spiritual power gifts,
is definitely NOT the guy you want to trust in this matter.
Too many reasons/excuses for being big-time biased!

Since you claim to be an expert on Johnny's research into the Charismatic movement,
please explain to me ... that which I asked in post #5:
Is he actually saying the Pentecostal experience for everyone today is totally bogus,
or is he only coming against some false teachers on TV?

No we don't. That is why Jesus said:

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

    And also Paul said:
1 Corinthians 12:2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

    And John also said:
1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

--We don't all worship the same God; the same Christ. Christ will say: Depart from me ye wicked into everlasting fire for I never knew you. Many don't have a personal relationship with Christ. They are deceived beyond measure.
There is only one truth, and it is found in the Bible. The gifts of the Spirit have ceased.
We worship the triune Godhead, and every person has a part and none to be omitted. Have you never been to a service where the members have either sung "Oh Holy Spiirit..", or perhaps prayed that the Holy Spirit would have his way. That is worship. Here is an example of a song (like a prayer) to the Holy Spirit, the words coming from the 12th century, but the music from an 18th century Presbyterian preacher:

    Holy Spirit, come and shine
Sweetly in this heart of mine,
    With Thy heavenly love and light;
Come, Thou Father of the poor,
    Come, Thou Giver, great and sure;
Come, and make my spirit bright!
Best of all my helpers, Thou!
Dearest Guest that I can know,
Freshest Draught that I can find:
In my labor Thou art Peace,
Thou dost bid my fever cease,
To my sorrows Thou art kind.
They took a Biblical stand. The gifts of the Spirit ceased at the end of the first century. Both Bible and history prove that.
    Both.

No, I didn't ... but, I'll take your word for what he said.
The truth of the matter is ... I couldn't care less what he says.

I already know there are some bogus guys on TV.
I already know cessationism is from the pits of Hell.
So, what else is there for me to know about this subject?

The SDA, Pentecostal, Charasmatic, Holiness movement has left a trail of destruction and harm to the Gospel unlike any other group. Here is a very small sampling of the types they have produced in mass media.

    Moral failures of Pentecostal preacher

    Allen, A. A.
    Divine Healer, Evangelist
    Drunkard, died of alcohol abuse
arrested for drunk driving during a Tennessee revival in 1955, the first of many alcohol-related experiences

    Bakker, Jim
    Televangelist
adultery, lover of money, convicted felon

    Coe, Jack
    Divine Healer, Evangelist
    lover of money

    Dowie, John A.
    Healer, 1st Restored "Apostle"
    lover of money

    Gortner, Marjoe
    Divine Healer, Child Evangelist
    lover of money, admitted fake

    Grant, W.V. (junior)
    Divine Healer, Evangelist
lover of money, convicted felon for tax fraud, a divorcee

    Hagin, Kenneth
    Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Teacher
Kenneth Hagin - a.k.a. "Dad" Hagin, Father of the Word of Faith Movement, Prophet Hagin, Apostle Hagin.

Intellectual property theft: Kenneth Hagin has been proven to be a plagiarist, a plagiarist is someone who steals another person's writings and fails to acknowledge the original author of the work. D. R. McConnell proved beyond any shadow of doubt that Hagin stole much of his theology from E.W. Kenyon, the true Father of the Word of Faith Movement in his most excellent book "A Different Gospel." It seems dad Hagin also stole about 75% of John A. Macmillan's book entitled "The Authority of the Believer" written in 1932. This theft was discovered by Dale Simmons while working on a paper at Oral Roberts University Hagin was confronted about this theft and made few changes in subsequent editions of that book. He has never publicly admitted to stealing anything from Kenyon. It gets stranger! Hagin has also made the claim to have had no less than eight personal face-to-face visits with the Lord Jesus Christ His book "I Believe In Visions" makes this statement on the cover "The fascinating personal story of a man whose life and ministry have been dramatically influenced by visions of Jesus."

    Hickey, Marilyn
    Faith healer
Word of Faith teacher - shameless use of charismatic trinkets (blessed cornmeal, oils, cloths, seeds, coins, etc.).

    Jenkins, Leroy
    Televangelist
convicted felon for arson & assault.

    Jones, Bob
    Prophet
Was one of the main "prophets" of the Kansas City Fellowship (The other being Mike Bickel). Despite being discredited in a sexual misconduct scandal in 1991 (Minister removed after confession of sexual misconduct, Olathe Daily News, 11/31/91), Bob Jones remains a "prophet" within the Vineyard.

    Jordan, Bernard
    Prophet, Bishop
    lover of money

    Khulman, Kathryn
    Divine healer, Evangelist, Pastor
    adultery, divorce

    McPhearson, Aimee S.
    Pastor, Evangelist
She is controversial because she faked her own kidnapping in order to carry on an adulterous affair in 1926. During the outcry against her over this affair she incorporated The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, which later grew into a large Pentecostal denomination. The Foursquare denomination exists today. Sister Aimee died of a barbiturate overdose in 1944.

    Parham, Charles Fox
    Teacher
In 1907, Parham was arrested and charged with sodomy in Texas and lost all credibility with the neo-Pentecostal movement he started through his disciple William Seymour! Seymour started the Azusa St Mission. Parham was also a racist.

    Popoff, Peter
    Divine Healer, Evangelist
    lover of money, proven fake::

    Swaggart, Jimmy
    Televangelist
adultery, hypocrite, opulent lifestyle while crying broke on television

    Tilton, Robert
    Prophet, Pastor, Teacher
Word of Faith Televangelist: lover of money; 2 divorces, multiple law suits, caught in many lies, utters many false prophecies.

So you do not see any difference in faith in Jesus Christ Himself, and faith in days of the week, jibberish from heaven, and a magic show?
