In response to the OP in the other thread on True Christianity Walter stated:
The answer was no, by most non-Catholics.
In doing some other unrelated research I came across this article on St. Anne:
The message here: St Anne takes away original sin.
What heresy is this that the RCC teaches.
Furthermore, what perfect picture of idolatry is this, in that Catholics from all over the world come to this shrine and bow done before "the grandmother of God" asking her also for salvation. It is heretical.

Didn't the pope, when he was shot, end of giving thanks to mary for intervening to save his life, and kissed her portraint and 'venerated' her?

Catholic Digest has an interesting article on this subject.

Whether you agree with Catholic Digest or not - it is interesting to see how they view this subject.

I differ with Catholics on this next point - because I believe the Bible teaches soul sleep in 1Thess 4 and in John 11. Not sure why others do not agree with the Catholic church on this next point.

958 Communion with the dead. "In full consciousness of this communion of the whole Mystical Body of Jesus Christ, the Church in its pilgrim members, from the very earliest days of the Christian religion, has honored with great respect the memory of the dead; and 'because it is a holy and a wholesome thought to pray for the dead that they may be loosed from their sins' she offers her suffrages for them."500 Our prayer for them is capable not only of helping them, but also of making their intercession for us effective.

They don't agree because the word "Catholic" automatically shuts them down - BEFORE their brain can actually do its work. It is a shame, but it is reality. Of course it's not just the word "Catholic" but other words like "SDA" or "Jehova's Witness" or "Muslum" or a host of other words that work toward this effect.
