Summer vacation will soon be upon us.

When you do go on vacation - do you normally attempt to visit a church on Sunday and/or Wednesdays?
If so, do you usually try to find a Baptist church, esp one of your specific denomination?
    If not, why not?

Our vacations are mostly on our sailboat and so we are very limited as to what churches we can get to. Because we sail New England, there are not many decent churches so after trying a bunch and even a Baptist church with a woman pastor, we've decided that we'll just go ahead and have church on our boat. We DO have a pastor there, after all! :D

I send my vacation time on the mission field. This year in Mexico and Colombia. Next year hopefully Mexico and Africa. I come back fired up to minister in the USA again after those journeys!

We just got back from a cruise. So we hold our own worship service if we are on it over a Sunday. Most cruise worship services sponsored by the cruise lines feature Joel Osteen. :BangHead: So we don't go.

This year, we got back on Saturday and took the next day off. We went to a very contemporary and non-Baptist church and loved the worship and the preaching.

I've taken vacation time from work, but haven't gone on a "vacation" in the last 29 years. Wouldn't know where to go or what to do when I got there. Several months ago I started researching vacation hotspots. Too many packages and meal deals to choose from.

I am taking the students to a lake house for a week, but I don't consider that a vacation.

The only thing I have that's normal is a setting on the clothes dryer between Delicate and Permanent Press.

Oh and I forgot to say that when we're in Florida, we found a great church called Generations (it's in Trinity, FL). We definitely go there when we're at our friend's condo.

We don't do church on Wednesdays so not going wouldn't be odd.

When on vacation we will visit churches of the relatives we visit, but if when we go off as a family we like to take a Sunday off. I find nothing wrong with it.

My sanctification isn't challenged by not attending a church on a Sunday.

I find if very refreshing to visit a church on vacation. It is wonderful to fellowship and worship with fellow believers.
