    As did Isaiah.

That claim "alone" is not the problem.

1John 4:1-2 John says to "TEST the spirits" he never says that the "test is' if they claim to hear from God - then they are wrong - because John was making that very claim.

...Herbert Armstrong. I haven't read anything where White said convocating the first day of the week, rather than the 7th, is "the mark of the beast (though I haven't researched that dame too thoroughly)," but Armstrong definitely said that.

No. They were just as much a FALSE prophet as one another. We live next to one who is mormon.

SDAism has taught this myth for years. Those who worship on Sunday have the mark of the beast according to them...and there are many ridiculous false prophecies of EGW unfulfilled and past their time. SDA is a cultic religion based upon lies.

We have another thread on this section of the board talking about how the evangelical south - stronghold is falling. Could it be that "name calling alone" is not the end-all be-all solution that some Baptists had thought it to be?

As I said in the case of Isaiah - He claimed to have messages from God.

When this is the only thing that Baptists bring up to claim that Joseph Smith was a false prophet - the mere fact that he also claimed to hear from God as did Isaiah - it is not hard to see how an evangelical stronghold in the south - would be crumbling.

Name calling alone will not solve the problem. At some point Bible doctrine has to matter.

And now for actual fact - at no time in our history have Seventh-day Adventists claimed that those who go to church on Sunday have the Mark of the beast NEITHER have we claimed that anyone is burning in the lake of Fire (in case you have other topics on your mind).

isaiah was inspired by the HS to be a prophet of yahweh, and he proved that by being 100 % correct in his prophecies concerning what he said the Lord would do!

can Ellen white claim that also?

She made a mistake on mark of the beast and investigative judgement, so guess not!
