I was at my mom's house on Sunday and she had Fox News on the TV. Over the course of about 2 hours there were seven stories about the Benghazi "coverup". Fox News simply repeated the same story about outrage over the change in the administrations talking points and interviewed several trios of old white guys. If this is typical "coverage" by Fox News I would guess that they run a "story" on Benghazi at least once per hour every day.

Now rewind to the Abu Ghraib prison abuse stories in 2004. The Bush administration pressured the media to not release the story but by April 2004 both 60 Minutes and the New York Times ran with the story. Remember the outrage by the right wing talking heads over the constant coverage of this "non-story"? I can remember Beck and Limbaugh (with disdain) keeping a running tab on how many days in a row the Abu Ghraib was front page news on the New York Times.

So Tea Partiers, why is it OK for Fox News to have Benghazi stories three times per hour but it was wrong for Abu Ghraib stories to run every day in the NYTimes?

Do you remember what the reason was not to run it?

Sure. The Bush administration was afraid that some U.S. prisoners being held in Iraq would be retaliated against if the story were to run.

Now, care to get back to the OP?

My question is quite fitting and on topic for the op.

Now why should the Benghazi story not be ran?

Pay attention! I'm not saying the Benghazi story should not be run. I'm asking why it was wrong for the NYTimes to run an Abu Graib story every day for a month but it is just fine for Fox News to run Benghazi stories three times an hour?

You yourself have already answered that question. Now what I want to know is why you believe the two stories are the same thing and what the malfunction is in your thinking that inhibits you from seeing the difference.

This sort of response is why you are going back into my killfile.
