Someone put a good amount of work into this, but the only different ones that I have paid attention to are the ones around me. The problem I've seen over this type of listings (and this one points it out too) is many churches are members to more than one group.
    Thanks for the list.
I won't compromise my views, but will try and get along with others. I'm not a Free Will Baptist but some of the finest Christians I've met have come out of this group as well as the CMA.

It looks like it is pretty accurate as it was developed by someone associated with the Baptist Heritage group out of Waco. From the stats, I'd guess the paper was developed in the early 2000s since none of the stats, that I saw, go beyond 2000.

It's probably a fair list of Baptist groups in North America.

Seeing that list reminded me of one of my favorite stories.

A traveler stopped in a small town to get a bite to eat. He noticed that there were two identical Baptist churches, right across the street from each other.

Curious, he has the owner of the cafe where he stopped if he knew the story behind it.

"Sure," he said. "The church on that side of the street believes that Pharoah's daughter found Moses in the bulrushes. The church on the other side of the street believes, that's what she says."

Then this same traveler stopped in another town, and lo and behold, there were two identical churches, right across the street from each other.

So, the natural question: what's the story.

"Well," said the restaurant owner, both are foot-washing churches. But they had a falling out. The church on this side of the street believes that the same person who washes your feet ought to dry. The church across the street believes that a different person should dry."

Brother Tom is a member of that Baptist group. The way it works is, he sneeks into the church on Saturday, and decides it is time to be saved. He goes up to the Baptistry and immerses himself the first time as a sign of faith in Christ, and the second time to receive the Holy Spirit. He then goes to the altar, raises his hands upward, and just like an antenna, receives a super secret message from heaven. It sounds sort of like the recordings on "Ghost Hunters." Then he interprets it, and edifies himself. After all this, he heals his lower back pain and goes home.

I guess this list teaches that if you don't like the Baptist group you're in, start your own.
