Someone on FB says that David Jeremiah is a false teacher because he appeared once on some Praise a thon on TBN and his book "Life Wide Open" has some bad quotes. I replied for any hard evidence in his other books including Invasion of other gods of any false teachings, and all I got was a dead silence. I ask for a good argument, rather than just criticizing him for who he had lunch with, but as many on FB are incredibly illiterate and not very academic at all as most of you know. FB has attracted illiterate types that would rather watch movies over reading books, and yet call themselves experts in theology because they have a popular blog and 50,000 twitter followers.

Anyways is there any merit to such claims? Those that dislike Jeremiah will find fault because that is their agenda. They are not interested in the truth because that is against their agenda, so outright lying and exaggerating is part of their plan.

Anyone who claims Jeremiah is a false teacher needs their head examined.

I agree. But some in the WOTM camp (my camp) do not like him and have a agenda and employee that on FB, Twitter, and their blogs.

I heard a sermon by David Jeremiah that showed that he did not believe in the manifestations of the Spirit are for today! I thought that was what charismatic was..believing the gifts are still here!

My only problem with David Jeremiah is that he's a dispensationalist. I actually like listening to him on the radio in the evenings coming home from work, unless he's going on about eschatology, then I change the channel.

He's still a believer though, no question.

he's one of the few non-Cals I listen to on radio, and I actually like his preaching on many subjects, including eschatology because it strengthens my rejection of dispensationalism.

The others I like listening to are RC Sproul, Allistair Begg, Ravi Zacariah, and Chuck Swindoll.

As you can see, quite a mix.

David Jeremiah is a moderate Calvinist. Ravi I believe to be Arminian.

Truth be known, if a different preacher appeared on TBN, such as say R. C. Sproul, the anti-calvies would be blasting him from now until kingdom come for doing so.

I'm not a fan of David Jeremiah. I just don't get much out of his preaching and I've tried to like him. To each his own.

Hey evangelist6589, do you have some sources showing him to be a moderate Calvinist? I've not sensed this in his preaching.

Since so few read books these days I would not expect that. So many just want tweets, and YouTube videos. Read his book "God in You", his book "Captured by Grace" his book "God Loves you" and such.
