39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

In every case above the underlined bold statement is found only in connection with those who come to faith in Christ for eternal life

    1. "of all...given me I shall lose nothing" - v. 39
    2. "believeth on him, may have everlasting life" - v. 40
    3. "can come to me" - v. 44
    4. "hath eternal life" - v. 54

The first use of this phrase by Christ in John 6 is in verse 39 where it is applied to "ALL" the Father gives to the Son. Signifcantly "OF all" the Father gives "I SHALL LOSE NOTHING" makes this phrase the promise of eternal security.

The neuter "it" in verse 39 is simply a grammatical neuter that modifies the previous Greek neuters translated "all" and "nothing."

John 6:37-39 defines and restricts the "ALL" Jesus is referring to. ALL given are the same ALL that come and ALL that come NONE ARE LOST but ALL are raised up at the last day to eternal life.

In John 6:40 Jesus adds this security statement to the end of the verse to contextually identify all the Father draws to be the same class of people the Father gives to Christ in verses 37-39. Drawing by the Father is the flip side of coming to the Son that makes it certain the same "he" that is drawn is the same "he" that will be raised up again.

Arminians simply jerk John 6:44 out of context and apply it to all men without exception when it is restricted in context to only "ALL" those given by the Father to the Son, AND restricted by this last security statement that demands every single solitary one drawn is raised to eternal life therefore "I SHALL LOSE NOTHING" of all given and drawn by the Father.

Arminians ignore this contextual development and relationship between John 6:44 and John 6:37-39 where this security statement is first used to identify "ALL" the father gives to be the same as "ALL" that comes to Christ in the sense of true confession and "eternal life."

Arminians ignore this contextual foundation laid in John 6 when they go to John 12:32 and jerk it out of context and attempt to apply it contrary to this foundational explanation and restriction in John 6. They ignore that the term "all" in John 12:32 is anarthous in construction and means "all classes/kinds" not all without exception, AND is in diirect contextual reference to the GENTILES seeking Christ.

This security statement "shall raise him up at the last day" given FIRST MENTION in the context of John 6 in verse 39 tie all the following verses (vv. 40, 44, 54) together in reference to those contextually defined and identified in verses 37-39 or "ALL" given by the Father "ALL" of which none fail to come to the Son because all are drawn by the Father to come to the Son (v. 44) and therefore NONE ARE LOST but every single one given, drawn come are "raised up at the last day."

This is the same answer they seem to give regarding Paul in Romans stating that NOTHING can seperate us from the love of God in Chrsit towards us, as they would say nothing external can, but God gave us free will to seperate ourselves by "walking away!"

In John 6 "coming to Christ" equals faith in Christ.

In John 6 "draw" equals "given" - Jn. 6:44 with John 6:65

Hence, ALL given/drawn come to Christ (faith) and NONE fail to come to Christ (faith) "of all" given by the Father

Finally, "OF ALL" given to Christ "I SHALL LOSE NOTHING" but raise that person up at the last day - resurrection to eternal life - Jn. 6:39.

Those who reject Christ (Jn. 6:36, 41-43) and "disciples" who later reject Christ (Jn. 6:64,66) never were drawn/given by the Father to come (faith) in Christ and the departure is proof they never were drawn/given in the first place (1 Jn. 2:19).
