If was approved , would you see time to say so long?

Girl /boy scouts of England removed mention of God, Exodus closing down, which Baptist group first to "takes the plunge?"

If a church, yes I would leave.

If a Nation, then no, I have not left the country yet.

If a Denomination or association, it would not be up to me to leave, but up to my church...I suspect they would dis-fellowship if the SBC did this.

My church accepts homosexuals to worship, but only as someone who admits they are need of ministry to break a cycle of sin. That is as biblical as restoring the adulterer or the thief to fellowship.

For sure, none of the SBC churches, except perhaps for a few who choose to disassociate with SBC itself and align with a more liberal state convention.

My thoughts exactly. I would not prevent homosexuals from attending worship, unless it is evident that they might actually be militant with an agenda rather than seeking to be obedient to God.

If the ORB's started accpeting the "alternate lifestyles" I be gone quicker than a fat man at a buffet......they will never do this, thankfully, but if they did, I wouldn't be around.

Plus, any in this lifestyle can't worship with me. They are welcome to attend any church I go to, but it's impossible for them to worship as someone in the alternate lifestyle.

Could allow them to worship with me, as ALL of us come as sinners to God , and need the Saviour, but that person MUST be not practicing that lifestyle!

That's the difficulty I have with Andy Stanley -- inviting them to worship with them. Real worship is with and among the redeemed. I kind of get his point in a sense, invite them in to hear the Gospel perhaps -- but to make it that they are there to worship as well, then there is the problem. The unrepentant cannot worship in spirit and in truth, no matter what they say they 'feel' when they do it -- Satan is deceptive and can grant feelings and emotionalism.

I would leave any church that accepts this lifestyle.

Why would a Baptist Group or any group for that matter be approving of an alternate lifestyle? Is there even a such thing as an alternate lifestyle?

People approve/disapprove of sins. There's nothing more sinful about the life of the homosexual who sins than there is about the heterosexual who sins.

ALL are in need of the Savior.:jesus:

We ALL share the same lifestyle as we're ALL sinners. Shall God reveal to us some of the wives hooked on prescription drugs, some of the high schoolers who are our sons and daughters who are having sex every week, some of the adults who are smoking marijuana and getting buzzed on alcohol every week, some of the ones who are constantly overeating, some of the ones who are constantly on the phone gossiping and backbiting, some of the ones who aren't tithing[IMG]...shall God show us the ones practicing these sins too so that we may remove them from the worship.

Shall God reveal to us all the ones who are constantly hypocritically, unrighteously judging so that they too may be removed from the worship.

If you're going to enforce Church discipline, do it CONSISTENTLY and righteously.

So if the pastor stood up one day, and said we are now an accepting church of homose*uals, would you:
    1. Get up leave with your membership
    2. Stay and attempt to correct the situation -

    Initially, I would go with # 2.

Don't you TOO practice a lifestyle of sin as does every other person God ever created?

And what about the others I mentioned? The prescription addicted mother? The fornicating high schoolers? The pot smokers ad the ones getting buzzed off alcohol? The gluttons? The gossipers? The covetors?

Are you going to evaluate them also to see if there is no remorse/conviction that their actions are sinful and they aren't evidencing to be "new creatures in Christ".

Will you go after them and their sin the way you would pursue the homosexual who sins?

Even if they are practicing HS, even an alcoholic, even a drug pusher - would be welcomed to ATTEND - baptism, membership, teaching would be another story.

Why would a church be approving of that which God speaks against? But this question only seems to come up with the pet sins that Christians have adopted to be on their list of things that "good Christians" are against.

If the Church was being the Church that God has intended for it to be, there probably wouldn't be any megachurches because proper and correct church discipline would have removed those who are willfully and unrepentantly sinning.

I hope my church doesn't. If it does, I'm outta there faster'n you can say "fast".
If another church within the PB's do and my PB church cuts off fellowship with that church, or those churches, or that "association", I don't see any reason to leave.

Bingo to that which I bolded.!!!:thumbsup:

No gay person can worship God in a biblical manner. Jesus stated in John 4 that we must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. They don't have either.

This flew right overtop Yeshua1's head......

    Yes.

To run with the same logic, then the bride of Christ is nothing.

Invite all practicing thieves, drunkards, immoral, idolaters, adulterers and h0m0sectuals. Invite them all in to worship right beside the redeemed. Isn't that what it is all about? 'Love'?

The church has been hoodwinked into believing the h0m0sectuals need a special privilege and a special invite to worship -- which is by the way on THEIR terms.

But the thing remains, the h0m0sectuals, adulterers, drunkards, idolaters &c will all go into the same hell. It amazes me that some think the h0m0sectuals need some special other privilege or right in worship as if they are an exclusive group. They're not, in fact they are headed to hell just like all lost sinners.
