    1st Timothy 4-1

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

Now since I am of the preterist view of the latter times being in the NT and up until ad 70--I think it was talking about their times.

But it can be applied to any time of some departing from THE FAITH.

THE FAITH would be that of Yahshua the Christ.

So some departing from Yahshua in that time or in any time--going unto doctrine of devils--the apostles said that after they went off the scene that false prophets would enter the Church and cause many false doctrines within.

So where does the perseverance of the Saints relate unto this scripture?
How has the doctrines of devils effected us today from the false prophets entering in after the Apostles time?

Did those that fell away from THE FAITH get destroyed with the unbelievers ?

If you are going to go with a weird spelling of the Aramaic version of Jesus name (which has no Scripture to go with it, btw), why not go with Messiah instead of Christ. If you use "christ" rather than Messiah or Meshiah, then it is the same thing as using "jesus."

Also, since the text of Scripture is inspired, then you should go with Iesous rather than Yeshua, a pronunciation assumed but never stated in Scripture. Your logic in this matter is terribly flawed.

And the word "jesus" has nothing to do with Zeus. It was the Hellenized form of the Hebrew name "Joshua".

Do we have false doctrine in the church today as a result of the false prophets entering in after the apostles? is it a possibility ?
Has false doctrine been passed down through the centuries to us from that time ???How has it effected us in this day and time ??? :godisgood:

    From Wiki:

Yahshua is an argued transliteration of the original Hebrew or Aramaic name of Jesus commonly used by individuals in the Sacred Name Movement.

They show up on baptist board using the Aramaic version of Jesus name, pretending to be baptist.

    Yes Thanks Ben!

    Truth is a wonderful thing!

Methinks there is a fox in the hen house (again)!

Interesting that DHK closed down HW's other ridiculous thread around 8:10pm and he opens this one up (at 8:43pm) with the same basic flaws and theme and even adds in preterism to sweeten (or sour)the mix. Oh joy! DHK....we all hope you are still watching....even if you can't get your questions answered.

Like I said... a weird spelling of Jesus in Aramaic. Essentially, what they have done was fused the Hebrew version Yahoshua w/ the Aramaic Yeshua and made Yahshua.

Buncha crackpots if you ask me.

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; Revelation 3:9a

The Sacred Name Movement (SNM) is a movement within the Church of God (Seventh Day) in Christianity.
SNM believers also generally keep many of the Old Testament laws and ceremonies such as the Seventh-day Sabbath, Torah festivals and kosher food laws.

The name Jesus is found in Bibles in 1300's. a lot longer than 200 years.

Do your homework before making such claims as you make.

So what you continue to do is tell all of us who have called on the name of Jesus that we are calling on the wrong name and therefore... unsaved.

You continue to err, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.

im just telling you that his name was Yeshua--just as easy to pronounce as jesus and Yeshua holds to its original meaning where as jesus takes completely away from Yeshua's original meaning.

whether you choose to admit it or not---Hebrew names carried very important meanings to them---and when by the time the name jesus is through all the translations--the true Hebrew meaning of the name is stripped away from it.

in other words--his name Yeshua didn't need to be changed from its original form for man to say it or know what it means.

Do you change your name or translate it to another name if you go to Russia--NO if your name that your father gave you is Bill-you remain Bill in Russia.

simple as that--Man stuck his hands in that he ought not to have done.

So why stop at names, if significance is your bag? You are missing so much when you restrict to an English translation. Just go all the way to Hebrew only. Otherwise, this is a mummer's farce.

that's a copout and you know it :applause::applause::

also if you don't know the cultures and history of the Hebrew Israelites then your gonna have a tough time understanding some scriptures--its that plain and simple no matter how you choose to believe--we are hindered in our American culture from going into much of the meanings of scripture because of it--so we just make up beliefs to satisfy us on the journey.

so yes its best to learn as much of the culture/history/and words and names as we can--we will be very blessed if we do :thumbs:

Yeshua said that if you LOVE him you WILL KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS !!

the only law that we are now NOT to observe is that of the sacrificing animals anymore--that has been fulfilled through Yeshua's Blood.

We are still to observe the 10 commandments
we are still to observe the dietary laws and so forth.

these are part of yeshua's commanments--you say you LOVE him--ACTIONS speak louder than words--KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS :thumbsup:
