Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

“God ain’t good all of the time. In fact, sometimes, God is not for us,”

Just because your an associate professor of religious studies, doesn't mean you can have sloppy grammar.

Sounds alot like James Cone. No surprises though, black theology has a tendency to over emphasize the plight of one group and place their disappointments on God.

Much of the black theology is just like the black work ethic. It's not our fault, it's the white man's fault!

That's not reserved to blacks; I know plenty of white folks, and brown folks, and Europeans, etc. that fit that description....

Yes sir you are correct. However it's the blacks I hear making noise about this, especially now after the Zimmerman verdict.

    There is Black Religion....

....and there are black churches. Those in church are usually those who have a personal relationship with Jesus. Those coming out of religious backgrounds can simply be labeled as militant blacks. This is what the Rev. Jeremiah Wright preached, and Obama absorbed for 20 years.

One teaches and preaches out of love. The other is militant, and does not know His love, only the wrongs endured by blacks since they landed on the shores of America, even though those days of slavery and government bigotry are long gone.

Again, this is sad...sort of like the KKK, white supremist and skinheads. They are pathetic, and have no place in the Church!

My mind (I know Paul is saying what mind?) goes in all sorts of directions with this kind of situation. The first thing to remember is that God, in the form of the Trinity, is the Creator, and we are the created.

I cannot help but think what God thinks, when for example, the latest scientist declares the universe was created by magic, or that there is no God. God created the scientist, He created the scientific principles that created the universe, His word put Creation into motion, and finally He created the mind for the scientist to declare his new found revelations. God has got to be either laughing to tears or just holding back on the lightning bolt.

So one wonders, if God created the races, how is it He is a racist?

Some people think up questions and make quotes outside the nature of our Lord such as

Can God make a rock to heavy for Him to lift?

    Can God commit suicide?

Personally, I believe nonsense like this breaks at least two commandments. To not put any other gods before God. Do not take My name in vein.
