We have an evacuation plan in case of a fire. Nothing to prevent a crazy person from offing us all though.

Ours is called the "666" plan. We have six guys carrying six-shooters (minimum) who also serve as pall-bearers.

West Texas sounds like Osprey! But our guys carry Glocks and Sig Sauers!

We have a plan. Our leaders go thru a practice every once in a while but probably not as often as we should.

My church has three armed security (plain clothes) persons, this includes pastors body guard. All ordained staff have permits to carry firearms. We also have two surveillance cameras that scan the audience constantly and are manned during worship services. We also have an armed officer on the grounds. My plan is to dive under a pew if the "shootin starts".

    Primitive Baptist Security Plan

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Very good to remember this principle - and this is not meant to derail the thread, but this verse does not speak out against the use of horses and chariots. It points out that ultimately our trust is to be placed in the Lord.

Having said that, we don't have a formal security plan, but I wish we did. If we were to implement a plan, there are some in the congregation that are both trained and trustworthy.

Having said this - and in agreement with SovereignMercy about trusting in the Lord -I would do what I can to protect the congregation, but ultimately leave things in the hands of God.

In other words, although I have a gun, I don't trust in it. I trust in God.

"Dueling" implies that just two people are involved.

As an elder-led congregation, the elders meet for the "Business". Unanimous decisions. Anything involving the congregation, elders meet privately with each family and go forward again only with unanimity.

Guns for business meetings aren't needed.

General worship/meetings? We meet in a public facility (conference room in a hotel) so no clue how many of our members or people in the building have guns.

Yep. If someone comes in, everyone is to get out from between him and the pulpit, and duck...
