We Don't Need No Stinking Horoscopes? Or, fortunetellers! As a believer, I am always amazed at the number of fellow believers who follow the daily horoscope and claim their personal astrological sign!

    1) It is not pure, clean, harmless fun! WE have been called to live and walk by faith, not sight per 2 Corinthians 5:7. To do otherwise is a sin against walking in faith!
    2) Faith is the substance of what we believe in and for, and it comes not by sight. In Hebrews 11:1-4 (NLT), we read, "Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen."
    3) Any form of fortune telling, which horoscopes do, is explicitly FORBIDDEN. Read what it says in, Deuteronomy 18:9-13, (TLB), "When you arrive in the Promised Land you must be very careful lest you be corrupted by the horrible customs of the nations now living there. For example, an Israeli who presents his child to be burned to death as a sacrifice to heathen gods, must be killed. No one may practice black magic, or call on the evil spirits for aid, or be a fortune teller, or be a serpent charmer, medium, or wizard, or call forth the spirits of the dead. Anyone doing these things is an object of horror and disgust to the Lord, and it is because the nations do these things that the Lord your God will displace them. You must walk blamelessly before the Lord your God."
    4) Your future is solely in the hands of God. You must trust Him, and only him according to Isaiah 8:19 (TLB), "So why are you trying to find out the future by consulting witches and mediums. Don't listen to their whisperings and mutterings. Can the living
find out the future from the dead? Why not ask your God?"
    5) You and your house should do as Joshua said to the Israelites when they arrived in the promised land. In Joshua 24:15, he boldly proclaimed, "But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

THE ONLY SIGN FOR ME, AS A BELIEVER, is the sign of the "BLOOD-STAINED CROSS!" So, when it comes to horoscopes or fortune tellers, I don't need to know my stinkin' future! God is my future, and I pray He is yours too?

Horoscopes might be harmless fun, but there are some who think there is an element of truth in them, and that gets into the occult, which is ridiculous. It is akin to Ouija boards, nonsense, but I can see for someone dumb enough to believe in them where it could harm a Christian witness and warp reality. It kind of reminds me of the recent ghost and demon thread.

All I can say for those who believe in such garbage, the best quote I can find about signs is from Bill Engvall, "here's your sign."

Anybody that believes a rock thousands of light years away, which does not affect the gravity of the Earth, can someone affect their life, really needs to get another hobby.

"What were you thinking" to all my FB Christian friends that post their daily Bible scripture followed by their horoscope and Joel Osteen quotes.

One confused brother shared a wicca post that had some "here kitty, kitty" words on it. One of his friends called him on it. He said he just liked the words.
