Ford PowerStroke, Chevy/GMC Duramax Allison combo, or Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel?

Which one is best and why?

I prefer the Fords. Any of my friends (btw I don't punch my friends in the face...I go out for beers with them:thumbsup:) they all have had their share of GM 's Dodges & Fords....they perfer the fords....the byword is durability.

What does Consumer Reports tell you?

I don't know what Consumer Reports says about them.

    I do know this:

The dictionary definition of Dodge means 'to avoid'. :tongue3:

Ford Powerstroke was outperformed by Chevrolet/GMC Duramax/Allison on a road test pulling the same load over the same distance. At one dealership it was announced through a road test that the Chevrolet was able to average 20 mph faster on a course and had better downhill grade control over the load than the Ford (i.e. much less braking for the GM). There are also some comparative videos online between the Dodge/Ford and Chevrolet. Chevrolet edges them out typically. The strong point of one video is the plush interior of the Ford King Ranch which runs several thousand more than the Silverado LTZ. The Dodge lagged in last place.

Having owned both Fords and Chevrolet's, I can say that the Chevrolets have been more dependable for me (talking Silverado gas trucks v. F-150).

2013 models (crew cab 4wd diesels) Chevrolet LTZ (top package) and Ford King Ranch (top package as well) run about 61k for Chevy and 65k for Ford. I don't know what the Dodge high end runs similarly equipped.

Thats a big investment...unless you are using it as a company vehicle w/ tax write off. Whatever you do, don't tell the IRS you are a Tea Party member!

We just bought a 2013 Silverado Crew Cab Duramax LTZ Z71 black in color. We saved about 20k off sticker with discounts and trade in. I use it for my business and at some point, Lord willing we want to get a 5th Wheel camper.

Knowing the car business I made them an offer and they made 750.00 over cost with no argument, and we traded my 2008 Chevy Express with a bad transmission for nearly Kelly Blue Book good condition on it and her Tahoe is paid off as well.

Right now I pull a trailer with all my equipment in the trailer and have been busy thanks to God for that. Jennifer my wife said 'That is your last truck ever!'

That, and we are planting a church here and God is blessing that as well.
