People have NO FLAG ETIQUETTE WHATSOEVER!

You don't fly them in inclement weather.
You shine a light on it if you fly it at night.
You don't make clothes out of a flag.
You don't put pictures of ANYTHING on a flag (no not Obama, no not Bush, no not anybody).

Sad. Sad sad sad sad sad.

I have mixed feelings. I am saddened about my son having to live in the country that we have become and are becoming. At the same time, however, I know that God places those in power for his purposes. I’m not sure if it would be a good thing for America to thrive seeing what America has become. I wish it were, but I know it is not. Our nation is on a course, certainly Romans 1:18-32 is applicable. I have become less concerned about our nation and more concerned about our churches.

Because our churches are much more important at least to me. The combination of far right Republican politics and Christ's church has had a tremendously negative impact upon the church.

Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon
Which one do you serve, Christ or the Republican party?

Well the church has been "far right" since the founding of this country. What has drug it down has always been liberalism. Liberalism eats and destroys everything it touches. Just look at what it did to Harvard and Yale.

It doesn’t (although I suppose one could argue that in the Bible it is – the “world” is in opposition to the Word). My comment was about level of concern (I am less concerned about our nation than I am our churches because our nation is secular and is expected to be in opposition to God whereas our churches are expected to function as the body of Christ).
