Why were no Republicans at the March on Washington rally?

Good question, but don't hold you breath, yea do not stop eating until you get an honest answer. :tonofbricks:

It is rather strange that none were there.

ROFL, Rev., of course I read it. Shows you did not understand my reply or you were just wanting to say something you thought might be nasty.

In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington, the RNC hosted a luncheon yesterday at the Capitol Hill Club. The response was so overwhelming that we had to simulcast it in a second overflow hall to accommodate the crowd.
The speakers at the event included Dr. Ada Fisher, Republican National Committeewoman from North Carolina; Reverend Ralph J. Chittams Sr., Senior Vice-Chairman of the District of Columbia Republican Party; Sharon Day, Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee; Robert J. Brown, Chairman and CEO of B&C Associates Inc. and former special assistant to President Nixon; James Kemp, President of the Jack Kemp Foundation; Bob Woodson, Founder and President of the Center For Neighborhood Enterprises; The Honorable T.W. Shannon, Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives; The Honorable Jim Sensenbrenner, Representative of the 5th district of Wisconsin; Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee; Dr. Alveda King, King Family Representative and Founder of Alveda King Ministries.
The event in its entirety was covered by CSPAN....

...Woodson's speech was the most overtly political, at times weaving into Dr. Ben Carson's territory. Most provocatively, Woodson said that "gays, immigrants, women, environmentalists" have all been put in front of poor black people "on the bus." He went on to deride those who called for action after Trayvon Martin's death but not Chris Lane's. "We should not wait for evil to wear a white face before we get angry," he said. "Moral consistency is what we should insist upon." The mostly middle-aged, black crowd gave him a genuine standing ovation...

I find it hypocritical to deride the GOP from being absent from this event, yet stay silent on the GOP being locked out of the Obamacare process. Harry Reid won't even bring a bill of theirs up for an honest vote.

But the republicans are stupid, in that they didn't see this coming. With team zero's boot-licking media & evangelists you have to expect their dirty tricks.

The point of the op was none of the speakers were GOP as none were invited to speak. Not even the one single Black Senator.

I did see something that two of the Bushes were invited - but unable to attend. The article did state that the invitation was offered 12 days in advance of the event.

I will look for the article and post it, if I can find it.
