Just a thought....does anyone see this Syria cesspool as being more like the dark hole, or military vortex that will suck America into a battle that they lose, and lose badly? :BangHead:

Just thinking out loud. Something just doesn't feel right! I can't put my finger on it, and only time will tell, but, like SaturnNeptune, I have this "sick-sense" in the pit of my spiritual stomach, too!

Jesus is the only one who can settle the dispute between Ishmael and Isaac.

It is still a wise choice to defend Israel.

This is a spiritual warfare. Most of our leaders have not a clue.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

One military commentator on tv said that it would be like Little Big Horn. That is, Custer did not have enough men and ammunition and had not scouted the area properly. We get into Syria and everyone is likely to turn on us. Assad is not going to want us there and he has Russia and Iran behind him. The Al-Qaeda fighters who are currently aligned against Assad might well join Assad against us. There could be attacks on Israel, Jordan, Egypt, or Saudi Arabia. In other words, it might escalate into a small war, for which we are too broke and worn-out to fight unnecessarily. Hopefully, Obama will back down. He shows more concern for the plight of Muslims than he does for the worldwide Christian holocaust.

Obama did quite well getting the neocon plan for the "clash of civilizations" moved this far forward. Unfortunately for them the alternative media and concerned citizens like Snowden made it impossible for them to make a move without it being reported. That set their plans back 8 or 10 years. And they are freaking out because of it, and the worldwide political awakening going on. No one believes in them and their lies anymore.

Well there's still a small number of the neocon's followers left that do but no one pays them any mind now. They've over played their hand and now they've been reduced to a few lonely voices crying for more war more war more war. They're just a sick joke to the rest of the world now.

    Q

That's nonsense. Assad is a tin-pot dictator with a military not even equal to that of a banana republic, supported by a shell of a world power in Russia, and a wannabe that doesn't dare rattle its sword too loudly for fear of writing checks with its mouth that its butt orifice can't cash -- China. Neither of these countries is capable of following through on their threats, but as long as the Great Pretender acts as though those threats could potentially be real, both will succeed in forestalling U.S. action.

We should have hit Syria two weeks ago -- swiftly, decisively and devastatingly -- and taken the heat from the world for doing so without sanction. It would have blown over by now, Assad would either be dead or in hiding from a successful rebel surge, al-Qaeda's miniscule presence would be negated by the group's complete lack of acceptance among Syrian civilians, and we'd be worrying about the next crisis. The G/P is a hand-wringing milquetoast fool who has no concept whatsoever of leadership, decision-making, or honor.

We don't have to worry about any of this happening now. The G/P never intended to do anything, and is actually relying on Congress to prevent him from having to do something.

Official video of the Obama Administration.................

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gBxeslnd0Y

It is a dangerous thing that the leader of the most powerful nation in the world is driven by polls and circumstances, rather than a sense of right and wrong. Although I do not agree with the concept, you are correct in your timing. If he was going to go in, and he felt that outraged by the actions of the Syrian government, we should have lobbed those missiles two to three weeks ago, and worried about Russia, China, England and France later, in addition to the spineless Congress.

I heard a Congressman say this morning that if Obama does end up putting troops on the ground in Syria, it would be an impeachable offense. Just more evidence of a lack of understanding. Impeachment is for treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors. Since the President has the authority to attack (not Constitutionally) without their say so, I doubt he would be impeached.

What happens when China and Russia stop trading in dollars and dumps all that debt of ours they are holding? Kinda hard to be the world's hegemon when you don't have two nickels to rub together.

Poncho said: "When China dumps all their debt of ours they are holding".

Do you even know what this means or are you simply parroting lines you read on conspiracy sites?

Fought properly any war involving those countries and the U.S. military would be easy. You have to ask yourself, "Were those wars fought properly?" Three guesses as to the answer.

Silly article claiming the bad economies in Portugal, Spain, Greece, and Slovenia, will escalate into WWIII, "just like what happened to Japan when they went off the gold standard in the 1930's." Not even close to the question of China dumping debt.

Why don't you, in your own words, outline how China would "dump all their US debt" and outline the likely repercussions.

The Way We Fight has Changed for the Worse!

Ever since Korea, America has been fighting wars with a politically-correct attitude!

One of the most serious problems in fighting wars today is the ridiculous Rules of Engagement!

Second most serious problem is allowing the wars to be conducted from the Pentagon.

Third problem is the inability of America and Americans to face the fact that war is ugly. People die, and there is no humane way to kill another person! When we set up a litany of rules and policies that our fighting men have to follow [or face Courts Martial, etc.] we may as well be placing handcuffs on our soldiers and telling them to go for it!

Fourth, we need to remove the element of media. News programming has just about scripted the last few wars. And it is telegraphing our every move on television and in print that has bolstered the enemy's ability to determine our plans. Media also hurts us, as it reports the ugliest sides of war for ratings, and the public seems to chime in and protest how America is fighting the war!

William Tecumseh Sherman once said, "You cannot qualify war in harsher terms than I will. War is cruelty, and you cannot refine it; and those who brought war into our country deserve all the curses and maledictions people can pour out. I know I had no hand in making this war, and I know I will make more sacrifices to-day than any of you to secure peace."

The words of this General should not be underestimated....war will always place mankind on the fringes of hell itself! Still, we have tried to make it more civil and acceptable, which eventually draws it out with setting guidelines [like in Viet Nam] that allow your soldiers to fight in one zone, while another zone is off-limits that day!

When one side fights without rules, while the other side has limiting rules, and the enemy nknows those rules and screams "foul" when America breaks the slightest of those rules!

If one has to fight, he must be allowed to fight, unopposed and without rules. This is the only kind of warfare that an enemy will come to appreciate and not challenge later down the line!

America has gotten into this rut, that when someone declares war on us, they can count on getting money and help in rebuilding their country once they lose to us! And while they fight us, they can ignore the Geneva Convention, and do as they like, because their enemy [the US] is bound by rules, statutes, laws and a code of honor! Simply, ridiculous and not a recipe for putting an end to war in quick fashion!

I have to think that Patton was right when he proclaimed that we should have continued to march our armies to Russia to put down a future enemy. We have ignored greatness for liberal intervention, and that my friend is what makes war a joke and a mistake!

The old joke that says if a nation is in need of an infusion of money and rebuilding, start a war with America is more true now than ever before!!!

War is hell, and we should not be afraid to let the fires of hell rain down on our enemy, regardless of the circumstances. There will be Collateral Damage, especially when your barbaric enemy uses their own people for cover. The Tet Offensive in January 1968 is one example of an enemy raining down their form of hell on the enemy as well as civilians!

I am not trying to be heartless, but when you fight an enemy that has no rules, you must adapt and fight a similar style of war, or in the long run, there will be a price to pay. Sure we may win a war like that, but the stress it places on our infantry men is the kind of unnecessary stress I am eluding to, and it returns our men and women with scars too deep to mend!

You can't fight a war with a set of morals and values! If you do, the other side will always have the advantage, until they lose, and pass their victories on down to the next generation of fighters, who will test our will and resolve twenty years later!

The use of terrorism has grown out of the Viet Cong's guerrilla warfare style! It worked then, and it will only get better until some day, we lose the entire thing to an immoral, barbaric enemy that has learned from their losses on what it takes to defeat a civil enemy!

Can I fight this way? No! However, that is why we are doomed to one-day fall to a no rules barred enemy!

Or in the media. "Embedded media" ... ppfffft! What a ridiculous concept. Eisenhower called in the press and radio people about 16 hours before D-Day Zero Hour and revealed the entire plan -- then calmly told them if one comma from his briefing wound up in print or on air, he'd personally shoot the reporter responsible.

Now THAT'S media control in a war zone!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Callie wouldn't have been prosecuted had he served in WWII or Korea and acted in the fashion he did in one of those wars. The Abu Graibh Article 15 allegations would have been laughed out of court during those wars. And yet, because of our mincing media that can't resist reporting non-stories, Callie and the MPs at Abu Graibh were not only charged, they were convicted! Bogus .... completely bogus. The idiot reporters and the unschooled public can't seem to wrap their heads around what "guerrilla warfare" means.

This is such an outstanding post, I just wanted it to be repeated, so people who don't understand what we're saying will have to see it twice!

China wouldn't be the only ones dumping the dollar. We haven't been making to many friends on the world stage since the neocons started their war for global hegemony.

Who will side with Russia and China against the US? Where are we going to get the money the make war against Syria?

We had to borrow money from Japan to topple Iraq. Japan is broke. Our European allies have debt problems.

Here we are supposed to be a world class superpower borrowing money from a tiny island nation to make war on a military that was already destroyed.

Look at that list. Who will ally with Russia and China now that we have become viewed as a threat to world peace and stability and they the powers that stand against the insanity that has overtaken Washington and Wall Street?

Why did we have to attack Iraq? Because Saddam was a bad guy? Yeah he wanted to get out of the US dollar. Why did we attack Libya because Qaddafi was a bad guy? Yeah he wanted to get out of the US dollar. He wanted to trade in gold and form an African union that would move away from the dollar. Why are we allied with Saudi Arabia a known supporter of terrorism? To save the dollar.

Your post is operating on the idea that China will dump US debt and then you ask me a bunch of questions. Divert, distract, and change the subject. Classic tactics.

    Let's try this again.

Why don't you, in your own words, outline how China would "dump all their US debt" and outline the likely repercussions.
