Do you think the United States should remain in the United Nations? In thinking about the answer, is there any benefits the organization gives this nation that outweighs the harm it has caused us in terms of military lives lost, tax dollars spent, and sovereignty surrendered?

Yes, I think we should get out, and the organization should not even be allowed on American soil. Thanks for your responses. Some of the qualities on the positive side to consider are the ability to deal with nations more closely, come to agreements quicker. IMO, that does not outweigh our sovereignty.

    AMEN, AMEN, and AMEN!!!

And I just don't understand how we started going down that road of subrogating our sovereignty and ability to protect our own self interests as a nation to an organization that makes it clear that it thinks it's the boss of us while not being able to stand us.

    But that's the world.

More important to me is the way the organization continues to show itself to be anti-Christian and all about protecting Islamic rights while doing practically nothing to aid Christians who are persecuted by the Islamic dictatorships they seek to protect. They have single-handedly made it darn near "illegal" to be a Christian and preach the Gospel in a lot of non-Christian states under the guise of defamation of religion.

The fact that the organization pretends that it's goal is peace is laughable especially when they are positioning themselves to be a major tool of the coming One World Government.

Put the whole building on a swift boat and get it out of the USA. Pure foolishness for our tax dollars to be going to support it.

Why not? We basically control it or can stop it from doing any harm. George Bush Sr. played it like a fiddle to build up the coalition to oust Saddam out of Kuwait.

If we were to drop out of the U.N. we would lose influence and votes on the U.N. Security Council. That could be the death knell for Israel.

I would agree to cutting U.S. funding for the U.N., but drop out of it? No.

Run the UN out of the country and turn the building into a pro-life museum.

If the US got out of the UN would that mean we'd regain control of our national treasures like the grand canyon and Yellowstone park or would they still be under UN control?

For more info google UN world heritage sites.

Huh, I thought the international bankers owned them. Did they turn over control post-1948?

You must have grown a spine recently ITL.it's not like you to go after people not on your ignore list. What could have made you surly lately I wonder have you managed to convince yourself that the word of a bushwacker is more credible than the evidence of a conspiracy theorist?

Better people than you have stalked me around this board. They had enough honor to attack me in the open without hiding behind the ignore feature. I respect them still, you? Not so much. No one respects a bushwacker.

Yep it does seem to be your mo you didn't need to admit it. Everyone knows how you are. What does it profit you to be so dishonorable and dishonest? I know, you can't "win" by being honest and honorable can you?

I feel sorry for people like you. You care more about protecting the people who are destroying this country than the country itself. How shameful. You think the corrupt system you're always siding with is going to protect you?

It doesn't work that way. It'll turn against you eventually. Ask any German citizen that lived during WWII. So have your fun while you can. You won't think it's so funny when they come after your pension.

It might even end your love affair with the global central banking system.

I don't have a "love affair" with central banking.

Anyway back to the topic--When did the United Nations gain control over our national parks?

    Wow. Such short memories.

Bill Clinton made a major address to the United Nations General Assembly in September 1997. He spoke with gusto about what he called "this new global era" and "the emerging international system." Then he used an amazing metaphor: he said he is taking America into a "web of institutions and arrangements" to set "the international ground rules for the 21st century." He identified the treaties that will take us into this web: the World Trade Organization, the Chemical Weapons Convention, the NATO Expansion Treaty, and the Global Warming Treaty.

Clinton said that "the forces of global integration are a great tide, inexorably wearing away the established order of things." Then he described our troops lost in a crash of a UN helicopter in Bosnia as "citizens of the world." Those men signed up to serve in the American armed forces. Who made them "citizens of the world"?

The following month, Bill Clinton went to Argentina, where he said: I'm trying to promote a "reorganization of the world" into a "global system." He said he wants "to build a global system" by merging "integrated economies and integrated democracies."

    EAGLE FORUM

More than 178 nations adopted Agenda 21 as official policy during a signing ceremony at the Earth Summit. US president George H.W. Bush signed the document for the US. In signing, each nation pledge to adopt the goals of Agenda 21. In 1995, President Bill Clinton, in compliance with Agenda 21, signed Executive Order #12858 to create the President’s Council on Sustainable Development in order to “harmonize” US environmental policy with UN directives as outlined in Agenda 21. The EO directed all agencies of the Federal Government to work with state and local community governments in a joint effort “reinvent” government using the guidelines outlined in Agenda 21. As a result, with the assistance of groups like ICLEI, Sustainable Development is now emerging as government policy in every town, county and state in the nation. - See more at: http://americanpolicy.org/agenda21/#....xaumebPD.dpuf

America Destroyed By Design Full Movie

Let me guess you don't remember any of this, you never heard about any of this, so you never did any research on this so you don't have a clue as to what I'm talking about so it must be a conspiracy theory. Some day soon throwing out the words "conspiracy theory" to cover up your ignorance about important issues isn't going to work for you anymore. People are waking up despite your attempts to stop it.

As usual, you throw out a lot of links and so-called information to "prove" your point. Throw a bunch of spaghetti against the wall and see if anything sticks.

In fact I have heard about Agenda 21, basically a liberal dreamland of how they think nations can all hold hands, sing Kumbaya, and save the environment. Agenda 21 is another in a long line of UN Resolutions, meant to be guidelines that nations could adopt or reject as they see fit. It is not a treaty, nor does it have any kind of enforcement mechanism. I doubt that any legislator, when considering environmental policy is going to consult the UN's Agenda 21 for guidance.

You have failed to show how the UN has taken over the US National Parks.
