    How do we know these are actual Communist goals and not just some writer's fancy? Anyway, these "goals" have been reached, IMO:

    Whether they be communist, socialist or otherwise they have certaibly come about in my lifetime.

    You can do a search on the author and go to the website at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleon_Skousen. Having a knowledge of the evils of communism and an understanding of scripture helps to understand how deceitful communism and man is.

    Communism a promotion of big government being in control of everything. If they can destroy the family they take control of education and information being taught. Communism destroys ambition and incentive while at the same time essentially makes the people a prisoner of government. Communism dictates what a person can or cannot do.

    Skousen stood fast with John Birch Society co-founder Robert W. Welch Jr.'s contention that President Dwight D. Eisenhower was a communist agent. He did not believe the U.S. should establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China.

    In 1970, he wrote The Naked Capitalist which claimed that top Western merchant bankers, industrialists and related institutions were behind the rise of communism and fascism around the world.


    In 1970, the LDS Church was under considerable attack for its refusal to ordain blacks into its priesthood. In response, Skousen penned an article entitled "The Communist Attack on the Mormons," in which he accused critics of "distorting the religious tenet of the Church regarding the Negro and blowing it up to ridiculous proportions" and of serving as Communist dupes


    By Skousen's 2006 death, he remained fairly obscure except among "furthest-right Mormons." His funeral was eulogized by Mormon Apostle Thomas S. Monson.

    Got it. Anyone or anything that went against his beliefs was communists fault.

    Just listen to the president talk and you will get a glimpse if you know what to listen for. The Communist Party USA today disguises itself as "Progressives". Have you heard that recently? The author was also in the FBI for 16 years. It was not too many years ago that it was illegal to import anything from China. When China was admitted to the UN with full rights and privileges, the UN booted Taiwan (our ally) out. Why?

    A good book to read is The Naked Truth: The Naked Communist - Revisited Paperback by James C. Bowers . Bowers goes over most of the points and shows at points in time how most have been accomplished in our nation at this time.

    The point is moot, given the collapse of the old Soviet Union 22 years ago, and the gradual move of China toward social democracy. It would appear, upon first glance, that many of these goals have been achieved, but I would not say it was because of any action by communists. Much of what we have lost, we have taken from ourselves, and despite what I'm sure will be arguments to the contrary, communist influence is virtually nil in this world. The greater danger is the move to socialism, which is not communism, though the two systems are second cousins once removed. It is not a desire for communism on the part of the socialists that has them moving us in this direction. Is the sincere but totally misguided believe that the nanny state is preferable to the free enterprise system.

    Good post, totally agree. Classic Communism is dead, insofar as there is still an active effort to export it to the West.

    Go to http://www.cpusa.org/faq/ and see if you have not heard those things mentioned recently. Bowers in his book talks about the communists disguising themselves by the name "Progressives".

    Yes, free enterprise is the most direct route to wealth for all. The main advantage to the breakup of the Soviet Empire is that there is not one concentrated power that could wipe out the United States with nuclear weapons like in the 1960s. China has a good number of them, and some former Soviet states.

    Here is a clip from the Partisan Patriot about the quote Kruschev made 50+ years ago and how it relates today.

    "Who knew 53 years ago when then Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev uttered these words, “We will bury you without firing a shot”, his prophetic proclamation would materialize amidst a cessation in apparent hostilities between the two countries. Just as Khrushchev presided over a system in which decisions came from the top and citizens were left to tremble with fear, thye same is true for the oligarchy Barrack Hussein Obama is attempting to establish in the United States of America! Doubt me, look at the way honest hard working Americans are being ridiculed and mocked as they attend the various town hall meetings and tea parties. According to high ranking Politburo member Nancy Pelosi these protesters are, “church-going rednecks attending the town hall meetings, and I've got to say they make me want to puke" President Obama is trying to make their lives better, and all they want to do is ask questions.     So, this modern day Nostradamus who slapped the podium with his shoe and said America will be taken down without them firing a shot those many years ago somehow must have foreseen the election of this modern day Marxist in 2008. The socialist utopia Khrushchev and fellow socialist tried in vain to establish is being created in the Greatest Country the world has ever known not through the firing of a single shot or multiple shots, but through an election!

    Khrushchev has to be looking up through the smoke and flames and smiling. What he wasn’t able to accomplish as Commander and Chief of a military complex that rivaled the world’s most powerful nation is now being accomplished as he predicted, without firing a shot! As Norman Mattoon Thomas, presidential candidate for the Socialist Party said in 1984, “the American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of “liberalism,” they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”? Hello America; Cap and Trade, Card Check, Government takeover of General Motors and Chrysler, Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac, and finally Nationalized Government run Health Care! All this in less than eight months! What ever happened to the Socialist Party, it morphed into the modern Democratic Party!

    And what did the President credited with bringing about the demise of the Evil Empire, Ronald Wilson Reagan, have to say about this most important pursuit being pushed by Premier Hussein Obama, National Government Run Health Care? JFK was President, the Democrats had just taken over the White House after 8 years of Republican control, and the House and Senate both had a Democratic majority. Just as today a major push was on by the Democrat’s to get a national healthcare bill thru Congress and on the desk of the new and popular President, JFK. In 1961, Ronald Reagan spoke about socialized medicine and its dangers saying, “The more I read directly from this bill to allow government to take over health care the more I fear it. It's just plain bad. I hope common sense will prevail and the socialization of medicine bill will fail”. Ronald Reagan knew it then and we know it now, government takeover of health care is just plain bad!"

    I can still see the man pounding his shoe on the UN table.

    First this could not be more wrong and communism and socialism are two sides of the same coin. Either way they are both founded in Marxism and it is all evil.
