    There is no possibility of spiritual growth if everyone in your group is of the same theology and undersanding of God.

    One can gain all the knowledge in all the Universe and not grow an inch. But you cannot diligently serve God sacrificially and stay immature.

    I agree. Sacrificial obedience will result in experiences that will give the believer a deeper understanding of God's grace and trustworthiness.

    I'm not sure I agree. My spiritual growth does not solely depend on the spiritual level of others around me. I have a duty to study and have the Holy Spirit guide me in spiritual growth.

    True, it's easier to grow spiritually when you have others around you to mentor and discuss things with, but I think your statement can only be true if there is a vacuum--and as long as we have the Bible and a desire to grow, that isn't possible, right?

    On the contrary, those who fellowship together with an understanding of God based on the same solid, biblically grounded theology can help one another grow in all phases of their faith: observation, interpretation, and application. Differing theological backgrounds generates arguments, not growth.
