Scary

While it doesn't necessarily prove anything -- any petitioner gathering signatures will tell you most people sign mindlessly no matter what the cause -- it is a sad testament to the intellect of the average voter who didn't immediately word-associate "Karl Marx" with The Communist Manifesto.

 

Come to think of it, you're right.

 

He could have gotten a majority of US college professors to sign, also.

 

Willingly and without hesitation, no doubt, even knowing who Karl Marx is.

If I hadn't given up on the state of higher education's purveyors years ago, I'd say that truly was scary.

 

Oh, sure the professors actually admire communism. Marlin Maddoux used to say on his radio talk show Point of View that after the fall of the Soviet Union and the end of the cold war that the US college professors were the last remaining stronghold of communism.
