The Great Pretender's "health care reform" (what a freakin' joke!!) reforms things all right. It punishes consumers for planning for the future (higher taxes on FSAs), employers for not being nosy enough to know the complete medical history and needs of their employees (Employer Mandate Tax), increases the cost of leasing/buying medical devices necessary to survival (Medical Device Tax), punishes investors ("Super Saver" Surcharge), punishes free enterprise (Health Insurer Tax), punishes those who can afford more comprehensive health care plans (Union Member and Early Retiree Health Insurance Tax), and that's just what's in the article Don linked.

There are dozens of more hidden expenses, and in general, health insurance premiums are increasing with the new plan year in January by nearly two thirds for young women, doubling for families.

I've finally figured out what this traitor to the American system that we have elected is up to doing. He wants to destroy the insurance industry and put the government into the business of being the sole health insurance provider, thus not only collecting these new taxes but also forcing everyone to pay health insurance premiums to the government. His plan is ingenious in its deviousness, and it is going to take a political crowbar the size of a revolution to pry this crap out of our system. It may never happen, and it will be our final reduction to a third-rate power in the world, thus freeing up the Empty Suit's communist-Islamic buddies free reign to run the world.
