Democrats and the media are convinced that the public will "blame" Republicans for the looming government shutdown. This is predicated on memories that Republicans were "blamed" for the last government shutdown, in 1995-96. The media certainly did "blame" the GOP at the time for causing the shutdown. The voters, however, didn't seem to have the same view. Just months later, at the next election, the Republicans retained their majorities in Congress. The Senate GOP even picked up 2 seats, in a year in which Clinton won reelection.

That's why I say "bring it on." We'll be better off without big government for a few days.

Yep. The Dems and the media are "out of touch."

So you think that America refusing to fulfill its debt obligations is something to support? Why?

You are just as much of the problem as the Democrats by giving aid and comfort to enemies of the Constitution such as Mitch McConnell, John McCain, and Mitt Romney. So was Senator Larry Craig of Idaho also one of your heroes?

You have two different issues confused. The current vote is not about paying our debts, it is about funding government operations. The debt ceiling doesn't come up for consideration until the 17th. Funding this wasteful, corrupt government and it's Dear Leader's asinine plan to "make health care affordable" (what a freakin' joke!!) doesn't deserve to be approved.
