As had one, and it seemed to accomodate evolution theories for genesis and not a literal view of reading bible!

There are Christians out there who believe God used Evolution to create the world and that one day does not need to mean a literal 24 hour period. It is sad.

Bill O'Reilly is a Catholic, whenever he talks about the bible he always says the OT is just a bunch of parables, not true stories, not a history book. Apparently this is what he was taught cause he knows Catholic fathers and they apparently never correct him on this. So I would have to believe they do not take the bible as facts, let alone infallible.

Since this is an RC thread - it should be pointed out that what you are saying above is what the RCC teaches in Notre Dame and pretty much all of their schools.

what is supreme irony is that the RCC teaches them to understand the Bib le in a spitual/allogorical way, yet fail to apply that to what Jesus staed in john concerning His blood and body, when they should see spiritual, they take it ohysical sense!

Notre Dame is an embarrassment to conservative Catholics. Compare it to Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH, and it will look like Baylor University being compared to Liberty.
